2006_PatriciaChavesGentil.pdf: 1592853 bytes, checksum: b5bcf356c928609f8ede323f3295e247 (MD5) / Esta pesquisa consistiu em um estudo transversal com amostragem representativa de escolas públicas pertencentes à Regional Norte da Secretaria de Saúde do Distrito Federal, com crianças de 1ª série do ensino fundamental. O objetivo geral foi avaliar os fatores associados ao gasto financeiro de crianças, da 1ª Série do Ensino Fundamental de escolas públicas da Regional Norte do Distrito Federal, com a compra de alimentos. Foram coletados dados socioeconômicos, medidas antropométricas (peso e altura) e aplicado questionário com perguntas relacionadas à disponibilidade financeira das crianças. Os resultados foram dispostos em dois artigos. O primeiro intitulado “O quanto de dinheiro as crianças têm para gastar com autonomia e os alimentos que preferem comprar”, cujos resultados mostraram que 88,2% das crianças dispõem de recursos financeiros e gastam prioritariamente com alimentos não saudáveis, sendo a média do valor gasto de R$ 4,70/ mês, proporcional à classe socioeconômica e à escolaridade materna. O segundo “Perfil de sobrepeso e obesidade em escolares da regional norte de saúde do Distrito Federal, 1998 e 2004” mostrou que ao longo de 6 anos não houve alteração do excesso de peso nos escolares (10,8%). Os resultados apontam para a necessidade de intervenções voltadas à promoção da alimentação saudável com forte atuação do Estado em medidas de regulamentação para a proteção da saúde de sua população.
_________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT / This research consisted of a transversal study with representative sampling of health northern region public schools of the Secretariat of Health of the Federal District, with children of the first grade elementary school. The overall aim was to evaluate the facts associated to the spend of the children of the first grade elementary school of health northern region public schools of the Federal District, with the food spending. Social economic data were collected as well as anthropometric measures (weight and height), and related questions to the children’s financial support. The results were presented in two papers. The first paper was named “how much money children spend with autonomy and theirs preference with kind of food”. The results analyzed showed that 88.2% of the children had financial resources, and spent mainly with unhealthful foods. The average spent reached R$ 4,70/ month and it was proportional to the social class and the mother schooling. The second paper was: "Overweight and obesity profile in students from the heath northern region of Federal Disctrict, 1998 and 2004", in which it was discussed the weight excess in the students (10.8 %) as an problem of Public Health, although no alterations were observed over the last 6 years. The results pointed to the necessity of interventions of the State leading to the promotion of the healthful feeding on measures in order to regulate the health protection of its population is welcome.
