2009_MarianaCarladeAlmeida.pdf: 7531558 bytes, checksum: 92cb069f9d0033e0f4ba302979b60d24 (MD5) / O presente trabalho é um estudo da usabilidade da interface do ambiente virtual de aprendizagem (AVA) da Fundação Universidade do Tocantins - Unitins, visto que os alunos e os professores, ao executarem suas atividades no ambiente não devem encontrar obstáculos ou dispêndio de esforços para a utilização da interface. Neste contexto, o estudo buscou a observação da interação dos alunos e dos professores com o sistema por meio da aplicação de testes de usabilidade. Para o levantamento de dados foram utilizadas as estratégias metodológicas: protocolo verbal, captura de telas do computador e grupo focal. A partir da obtenção dos dados aplicou-se a técnica de análise de conteúdos para compreensão e interpretação do fenômeno investigado. A análise foi fundamentada nos princípios básicos da usabilidade propostos por Jakob Nielsen: facilidade de aprendizagem, eficiência, memorização, erros e satisfação. Diante dos resultados encontrados, foi constatada que a usabilidade da interface do AVA voltada aos professores é inadequada, já que é difícil aprender a utilizá-la, contém muitos erros graves, é ineficiente, de difícil memorização e não atende às expectativas dos docentes. Já a interface direcionada aos alunos pode ser considerada como mediana, pois possui facilidade parcial quanto à aprendizagem, é fácil de memorizar, possui erros considerados simples, é eficiente e não desagrada os alunos. A partir dessas constatações teve-se como expectativa oferecer subsídios à instituição para uma reflexão sobre a usabilidade da interface do AVA e suas implicações no processo ensino e aprendizagem. _________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT / This work is a study of usability of the interface virtual learning environment (VLE) of the Foundation University of Tocantins - Unitins, since students and teachers, to carry out their activities on the environment should not be hampered or expenditure of effort to using the interface. In this context, the study sought to observe the interaction of students and teachers with the system through the application of usability testing. For the survey data were used methodological strategies: verbal protocol, capture computer screens and a focus group. From the data collection we applied the technique of content analysis to understand and interpret the phenomenon under investigation. The analysis was based on the principles of usability proposed by Jakob Nielsen: ease of learning, efficiency, memory errors, and satisfaction. Given the results, it was found that the usability of the interface AVA facing teachers is inadequate, since it is difficult to learn to use it, contains many serious errors, it is inefficient, difficult to remember and does not meet the expectations of teachers. Already driven interface students can be considered as average, because it has easy part about learning, it is easy to remember, mistakes have considered simple, is efficient and does not dislike the students. From these findings was expected to provide insight as to the institution for a reflection on the usability of the interface of the AVA and its implications in the teaching and learning.
