Previous issue date: 2001 / Resumo: O presente trabalho tem como objetivos analisar a assistência pré-operatória de enfermagem, pela ótica dos pacientes em pós-operatório de revascuIarizaçãodo miocárdio, e identificar a contribuição da visita pré-operatória de enfermagem - VPreOE - na assistência aos pacientes. A opção por pacientes submetidos a cirurgia cardíaca deve-se,
particularmente, à estigmatização do órgão afetado (coração - órgão vital de extrema importância) e sua associação à vida e à morte, à complexidade e ao porte da cirurgia, à recuperação pós-operatória que é crítica e lenta e à necessidade de alterações nos hábitos e no estilo de vida desses pacientes. Trata-se de um estudo comparativo/descritivo/exploratório. A amostra foi composta por 30 pacientes internados em unidades de internação, em pós-operatório de revascularização do miocárdio, maiores de idade, verbalmente comunicativos e que concordaram em participar do estudo. A pesquisa foi desenvolvida em dois hospitais públicos, com características semelhantes: um no município de São Paulo, com a Sistemática da Assistência de Enfermagem Perioperatória - SAEP implantada, com visita pré-operatória de enfermagem, e outro no município de Campinas-SP, sem a implantação da sistemática. Obteve-se como resultados que os pacientes que receberam a VPreOE (Grupo A) identificaram o profissional enfermeiro, o qual lhe ofereceu infonnações e orientações. Estes pacientes manifestaram sentimentos de ansiedade, angústia, desconfiança e confusão, mas obtiveram contribuições
da VPreOE para a melhora da expressão, enftentamento e reversão de seus sentimentos, fatos não ocorridos com aqueles que não receberam a visita do enfermeiro, (Grupo B). A VPreOE foi considerada pelos pacientes estudados uma intervenção positiva do profissional enfermeiro / Abstract: This work has as objectives to analyze the nursing preoperative assistance by the patiens' view in postoperative of coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) and to identify the contribution of the nursing preoperative visit to those patient ones. The choice for patients of heart surgery was due to the fact of its connection, rrurinlyto its association with the life and the death, to the complexity and load of the surgery, to the postoperative recovery to be critical and slow and to the need of alterations in the habits and in the lifestyle of those patient ones. It is a study comparative/descritive/explorative. The sample was composed by 30 patients intemed in units of intemment, in postoperative of coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), larger of age, talkative and that agreed in participating in the study. The research was developed in two public hospitaIs, with similar characteristics, one in São Paulo-SP, with perioperative nursing assistance implanted, with preoperative nursing visit and another in Campinas-SP, without the implantation of the system. It was obtained as results, that the patients that received nursin visit identified the nurse, which offered them information and orientations. These patients didn't manifest anxiety feelings, anguish, distrust and confusion and they obtained contributions of nursing visit for the improvement of the expression, and reversion of its feelings, facts not happened with those that didn't receive the nursing visit, which was considered a positive intervention / Mestrado / Mestre em Enfermagem
