Previous issue date: 2015-03-12 / Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / This dissertation aims to investigate an intercourse between two different plans that permeates the work The Theatre and its Double by Antonin Artaud. They are the symbolic and the feel. On this endeavor, I seek, in the first instance, to support what such research is meant by the symbolic level, where the written of authors such as Saussure, Lévi-Strauss, Foucault, Blanchot and Derrida, serve as a basis to support the symbolic perspective in respect with certain themes present in the early Artaudian works which dealt language, as in its struggle with the language and the repetition question, in order to build a relationship between critical Artaud the theatrical performance and its criticism to representation in their own language. The focus, then, is on The Theatre and its Double to investigate more specifically the perspectives the prospects that open from the body. Through this connections I propose a relation between theatre, structural anthropology and Lacanian psychology, in order to give consistency the existent relation between symbolic and the body, relation that both interested Artaud, as well the boundaries between the symbolic articulation and the body. The last section seeks to outline the plan of the sensation here directly related to the body where they are analyzed the procedures pointed by Artaud to escape the symbolic articulation of representation and, in this move, to achieve the public sensitivity. Investigations of Gilles Deleuze about Artaud serve as a fertile ground for thinking how the arts can provide the interface between the symbolic and the feel. / Esta dissertação busca investigar a conversação entre dois planos diferentes que permeiam a obra O Teatro e seu Duplo de Antonin Artaud. São eles, o simbólico e a sensação. Nesta empreitada, busco, no primeiro momento, fundamentar o que tal investigação entende por plano simbólico, onde os escritos de autores como Saussure, Lévi-Strauss, Foucault, Blanchot e Derrida, servem de base para fundamentar a perspectiva de simbólico em relação a certos temas presentes nas primeiras obras artaudianas que tratavam da linguagem, como seu combate com a linguagem e a questão da repetição, à fim de construir uma relação entre a crítica de Artaud à representação teatral e sua crítica à representação na própria linguagem. O foco, a seguir, recai sobre O Teatro e seu Duplo para se investigar mais especificamente as perspectivas que abre em relação ao corpo. Através dessas conexões proponho uma relação entre teatro, antropologia estrutural e psicanálise lacaniana, com o intuito de dar consistência à relação existente entre o simbólico e o corpo, relações que tanto interessavam Artaud, assim como os limites entre a articulação simbólica e o corpo. A ultima parte do texto pretende dar conta do plano da sensação ¿ diretamente relacionada ao corpo ¿ onde são analisados os procedimentos apontados por Artaud para escapar à articulação simbólica da representação e, neste movimento, atingir a sensibilidade do público. As investigações de Gilles Deleuze acerca de Artaud servem como terreno fértil para pensar o modo como as artes podem constituir a interface entre o simbólico e a sensação.
