Previous issue date: 2016-06-29 / This thesis proposes an analysis of the social and
cultural work of a peripheral community in Brazil located
at Itinga neighborhood, south side of Joinville / SC. It's
nearly 25 years of cultural activities through various
stages and involving many people. In many instances,
this is an inside out approach, because it is a
systematization of experiences and analysis of the
production made from the author’s personal experience.
At other times the point of view is complemented by the
encounter with people who are part of this journey, by the
collected documentary material and by bibliographic
references. The Association of Residents and Friends of
Itinga neighborhood (Amorabi) and Abyss Theater
Group are the mirrors of this trajectory that keeps alive
today a solidarity, and often solitary, art and culture
project in a distant place, where social rights are not yet
guaranteed. The analysis of these materials is a new
reflection of this story expanding the horizon of meaning. / A presente dissertação propõe uma análise do trabalho social e cultural de uma comunidade periférica no Brasil localizada no bairro Itinga, zona sul de Joinville/SC. São quase 25 anos de atividades culturais atravessando diversas fases e envolvendo muitas pessoas. Em muitos momentos, esta é uma abordagem de dentro pra fora, pois se trata de uma sistematização de experiências e análise da produção feita a partir da vivência pessoal do autor. Em outros momentos o olhar será complementado através do encontro com pessoas que fazem parte desta jornada, do material documental coletado e das referências bibliográficas. A Associação dos Moradores e Amigos do Bairro Itinga (Amorabi) e o Abismo Teatro de Grupo são os espelhos desta trajetória que mantém vivo ainda hoje um projeto solidário, e muitas vezes solitário, de arte e cultura num lugar distante, onde os direitos sociais ainda não estão garantidos. A análise destes materiais representa uma nova reflexão desta história ampliando o horizonte de seu significado.
