Previous issue date: 2018-10-18 / Contemporary slave labor (CSL) is embedded in labor relations between organizations and the worker, involving practices such as: restriction of freedom, degrading conditions of work and exhaustive work. The problem that gave rise to this investigation was, how does the work in degrading conditions occur in the rural environment? It has as general objective, to analyze the degrading conditions in the labor relations of the contemporary slavery in the field. The problem of contemporary slavery reveals disastrous aspects of globalization, the production of goods and services, and also the consumption of society. The methodology of this research is defined as qualitative, interdisciplinary, exploratory descriptive research and to reach the results, a documentary survey and content analysis was used. Through the analysis of the judgments it was possible to identify the profile of the vulnerable worker and also the employer, the characteristics of neoescravismo and also understand how the degrading condition of work in the rural environment occurs. Contemporary slave labor ceased to be a purely labor-related violation, and it also became a practice of violating human rights, especially when it came to the misappropriation of human dignity and exposing the worker to degrading working conditions, negatively impacting their physical and mental health, that is, the worker's quality of life. / O trabalho escravo contemporâneo (TEC) está inserido nas relações de trabalho entre organizações e o trabalhador, envolvendo práticas como: o cerceamento da liberdade, as condições degradantes de trabalho e a jornada exaustiva. O problema que deu azo a essa investigação foi, como ocorre o trabalho em condição degradante no ambiente rural? Possui como objetivo geral, analisar as condições degradantes nas relações de trabalho do escravismo contemporâneo no campo. A problemática da escravidão contemporânea revela aspectos desastrosos da globalização, da produção de bens e serviços e também do consumo da sociedade. A metodologia dessa investigação define-se como pesquisa de natureza qualitativa, interdisciplinar, exploratório descritiva e para alcançar os resultados, foi utilizado levantamento documental e análise de conteúdo. Através da análise dos acórdãos foi possível identificar o perfil do trabalhador vulnerável e também do empregador, as características do neoescravismo e também entender como ocorre a condição degradante de trabalho no meio rural. O trabalho escravo contemporâneo deixou de ser apenas uma violação estritamente de cunho trabalhista, e passou a significar também uma prática de violação dos direitos humanos, principalmente se tratando da maculação da dignidade humana e por expor o trabalhador a condições de trabalho degradante, impactando negativamente da sua saúde física e mental, ou seja, na qualidade de vida do trabalhador.
