Percep??o ambiental dos usu?rios do Centro de Pesquisas e Conserva??o da Natureza Pr?-Mata - PUCRS

Previous issue date: 2014-02-25 / The Centre for Research and Conservation of Nature Pro-Mata is a private protected area belonging to PUCRS, located in S?o Francisco de Paula (RS). The place has great scenic beauty in its more than 3000 hectares and its primary purpose is the conservation and environmental research. Welcomes groups of students, teachers and researchers of the university and other accredited universities, and is currently initiating a process of expanding its activities. The opening of the site for different users such as students of Basic Education of S?o Francisco de Paula and staff PUCRS is diversifying the use of space and demonstrate its possibilities. This research aims to identify and analyze the environmental perception of nine different groups that attended the site between November 2012 and October 2013. Moreover, it is also proposed to identify the potential of the Pro-Mata through the perception of its members, and to draw attention of those responsible for capacity Pro-Mata acting in formation (Bildung) of the subjects who attend there and so contribute with goals the University to be a greener campus and be a local training of individuals responsible, environmentally engaged. Through the application and analysis of open questionnaires and participant observation in each group, it was possible to attest that besides the ability to meet the expectations of the educational proposals of the groups, and to be a place that provides multiple person-environment interactions, the Pro-Mata allows the experience of a sensitizing aesthetic experience that awakens the will to act on behalf of the environment and the next and can also awaken new spirituality. Environmental education must try to awaken a human being who perceives life beyond rationality of science. The aesthetic experience can offer to the education the overcome of the extreme rationalization imposed by the consolidation of modern thought that has weakened the poetic and the imaginary, in that it is capable of awakening an ethic built by openness to experiences of being in the world, recognizing the symmetry between humans and nonhumans and the overcoming of individualism. / O Centro de Pesquisas e Conserva??o da Natureza Pr?-Mata ? uma ?rea protegida particular pertencente ? PUCRS, localizada no Munic?pio de S?o Francisco de Paula (RS). O local possui grande beleza c?nica em seus mais de tr?s mil hectares e seu objetivo primordial ? a conserva??o e a pesquisa ambiental. Recebe grupos de alunos, professores e pesquisadores desta universidade e demais universidades credenciadas, e atualmente vem iniciando um processo de amplia??o de suas atividades. A abertura do local para diferentes usu?rios como alunos do Ensino B?sico de S?o Francisco de Paula e funcion?rios da PUCRS est? diversificando o uso do espa?o e demonstrando suas possibilidades. Esta pesquisa prop?e-se a identificar e analisar a percep??o ambiental de nove diferentes grupos que frequentaram o local entre novembro de 2012 e outubro de 2013. Al?m disso, prop?e-se tamb?m a identificar as potencialidades do local atrav?s da percep??o de seus usu?rios, e chamar a aten??o dos respons?veis para a capacidade do Pr?-Mata de atuar no forma??o (Bildung) dos sujeitos que l? frequentam e assim contribuir com objetivos da Universidade de ser um Campus mais verde e local de forma??o de indiv?duos respons?veis, engajados ambientalmente. Atrav?s da aplica??o e an?lise de question?rios abertos e observa??o participante de cada grupo, foi poss?vel atestar que al?m da capacidade de cumprir as expectativas das propostas pedag?gicas dos grupos, e de ser um lugar que propicia m?ltiplas intera??es ambiente-pessoa, o Pr?-Mata permite a viv?ncia de uma experi?ncia est?tica sensibilizante que desperta a vontade de agir em prol do meio ambiente e do pr?ximo e pode despertar tamb?m novas espiritualidades. A educa??o ambiental deve tentar despertar um ser humano que percebe a vida para al?m de racionalidades da ci?ncia. A experi?ncia est?tica pode oferecer ? educa??o a supera??o da extrema racionaliza??o imposta pela consolida??o do pensamento moderno, que enfraqueceu a po?tica e o imagin?rio, na medida em que ? capaz do despertar de uma ?tica constru?da pela abertura ?s viv?ncias do ser no-do mundo, reconhecendo a simetria entre humanos e n?o-humanos e superando o individualismo.
