Previous issue date: 2016-02-29 / This dissertation falls within the area of concentration in Creative Writing and is divided into two parts: the first, a work of fiction and the second, a reflective essay. Narrated in first person, the novel Antonia in the City accompanies the journey of Antonia, the protagonist, after her life changed as result of her oldest sister's su-icide. The character sees herself helpless in a large urban center, in need of solv-ing the bureaucratic issues related to her death and, at the same time, she tries to unravel the reasons that led to the tragic death of her sister. The essay follows issues related to the creative process, and proposes a reflection on the metaphor of water, a recurring element in Antonia in the City. To do so, the theories of Gaston Bachelard on the imaginary of water are used. / Esta disserta??o se inscreve na ?rea de concentra??o em Escrita Criativa e ? dividida em duas partes: na primeira, uma obra de fic??o e na segunda, um ensaio reflexivo. Narrada em primeira pessoa, a novela Antonia na cidade acompanha a jornada de Antonia, protagonista, ap?s ter a sua vida alterada em consequ?ncia do suic?dio de sua irm? mais velha. A personagem se v? desamparada em um grande centro urbano, precisando resolver as quest?es burocr?ticas relacionadas ? morte e, ao mesmo tempo, tentando desvendar os motivos que ocasionaram a morte tr?gica da irm?. O ensaio acompanha as quest?es relativas ao processo criativo, al?m de propor a reflex?o sobre a met?fora da ?gua, elemento recorrente em Antonia na cidade. Para tanto, utiliza das teorias de Gaston Bachelard sobre o imagin?rio da ?gua.
