Space is part of heteronormativity. In turn, it is the general idea that structures the alleged linearity between sex, gender,
desire e practice sexual. People like transvestites and transsexuals female transgress the rules established socially and suffer a range of sanctions that make it difficult their existence. This group is the most vulnerable to violence and death of LGBT people. Vulnerability to death also establishes how travestisand transsexuals female are their social representations of the city, especially those they recognize as spaces of death.
Social representations are understood as common sense speeches establishing a set of significations around the space, bringing this paper to the concept of space as a text to be read and interpreted by specific social groups. In the case of this research, travestis and transsexuals who have female vulnerability to violence and death. For the construction of this dissertation we performed eight in-depth interviews with transvestites and female
transsexuals who at that time resided in the state of Paraná. The stimulation of discourse about space and death was accomplished through the use of news on this topic, conveyed in newspapers online. The interviews were analyzed using content analysis which enabled
founders recognize the meanings of social representations created by travestisand transsexuals on the relationship between space and death. Social representations imposed by the group bring the idea of increasing violence, blaming the group for their
own condition of marginality and also brings the territory of prostitution as a possibility for life and simultaneously the risk of death. / A pesquisa compreende como os espaços de morte são representados pelas travestis e transexuais femininas residentes no estado do Paraná. O espaço é parte integrante da heteronormatividade. Por sua vez, ela constitui a ideia geral que estrutura a pretensa
linearidade entre sexo, gênero, desejo e prática sexual. Pessoas como travestis e transexuais femininas trangridem as normas estabelecidas socialmente e sofrem uma série de sanções que dificultam sua existência. Este grupo é o mais vulnerável à violência e morte da população LGBT. Sua vulnerabilidade à morte institui também a forma como as travestis e transexuais femininas constituem suas representações sociais sobre a
cidade, notadamente àqueles que elas reconhecem como sendo espaços de morte. As representações sociais são compreendidas como discursos do senso comum que
instituem um conjunto de significações em torno do espaço, trazendo para este trabalho a noção do espaço enquanto um texto a ser lido e interpretado por grupos sociais específicos. No caso desta pesquisa, das travestis e transexuais femininas que possuem vulnerabilidade à violência e morte. Para a construção da presente dissertação foram realizadas oito entrevistas em profundidade com travestis e transexuais femininas que,
naquele momento, residiam no estado do Paraná. A estimulação do discurso sobre espaço e morte foi realizada por meio da utilização de notícias sobre este tema, veiculadas em jornais on line. As entrevistas foram analisadas por meio de análise de conteúdo que possibilitou reconhecer os significados instituidores de representações sociais criadas por travestis e transexuais sobre a relação entre espaço e morte. As representações sociais instituídas pelo grupo trazem a ideia de violência crescente, culpabilizando o próprio grupo pela sua condição de marginalidade e, além disso, traz o
território da prostituição como possibilidade de vida e simultaneamente o risco de morte.
