Previous issue date: 2004-02-28 / CAPES - Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / Muito se tem escrito e falado sobre a criança e o lúdico, mas pensar sobre o adulto e o lúdico, eis o desafio deste trabalho. Para falar sobre o lúdico e o adulto, tem-se que, necessariamente, retornar ao surgimento da infância, tendo como referência sua época a partir da industrialização e da urbanização, período, o qual, está marcado por um sentimento mais declarado sobre a infância, ou seja, a criança como categoria social ou geracional.O lúdico na ciranda da vida adulta busca descobrir o que gerou a dicotomia entre a cotidianidade do adulto e sua dimensão lúdica, especializando tais momentos e distanciando-os cada vez mais de sua rotina, bem como situa a influência dos modos de produção capitalista na formação do ser através da ?mercadorização do lúdico?. Interessa-se, também, tal trabalho, a desmistificar alguns discursos oportunistas e/ou de matriz romântica acerca da realidade infantil e adulta, especialmente aqueles que caracterizam a criança como um ser imaturo, inocente e irracional, transferindo e relacionando a dimensão lúdica, única e exclusivamente a tal período, e trazendo à tona um adulto sério, eficiente e rígido nas suas atitudes - é possível situar tal dicotomia existencial a partir do nascedouro dos processos de industrialização, onde se exigia que o homem fosse uma máquina de trabalhar e não um ser humano, adquirindo, tal trabalho primazia na vida social e privada do indivíduo ? sendo, portanto de fundamental relevância para esta dissertação, apresentar a relação que se descortinou entre a dimensão lúdica e o trabalho. O embasamento teórico de tal estudo situa-se no campo materialista dialético, como também desenvolvo o argumento de que o trabalho, diferentemente da visão de senso comum, também pode ser um marco referencial de ludicidade na vida humana, apoiando-se, inclusive, tal trabalho, em pesquisa de campo aqui apresentada. No que se refere à opção metodológica, esta pauta-se por uma pesquisa qualitativa de caráter estrutural dialético e também fenomenológico e o tipo escolhido foi o Estudo de Caso. O lócus desta pesquisa teve como palco uma comunidade composta por três ruas sem saída pertencentes à região norte de Porto Alegre, o que deixa evidente que os adultos que lá moram conseguem, através da união e da integração comunitária, aliados a uma afinidade regional presente em suas origens, demonstrar o quanto é possível manter a dimensão lúdica como uma fonte de energia vital e renovadora em suas vidas, seja através do trabalho que executam, das festas de rua, das gincanas que já fazem parte do calendário anual da Associação de Moradores da Vila Nova Esperança, das atividades cooperativas, das brincadeiras recorrentes entre adultos e crianças, e muitas outras vivências que deixo para o leitor descortiná-las ao ler este trabalho. / A lot has been written and said about children and amusement, bur our challenge in this piece of work is to think about adults and amusement. If we want to be able to talk about adults and amusement, we need to go back to the emergence of childhood, the reference being the period starting from industrialization and urbanization, which is marked by a more declared feeling about childhood, by children as a social or generational group.O lúdido na ciranda da vida adulta tries to discover what generated the dichotomy between adult daily life and the space of amusement; the distinction and separation between these moments and routine are increasing. It also locates this influence of capitalist means of production in the formation of the being through the merchandizing of amusement. This piece of work shows interest in demystifying some opportunist and/or originally romantie speeches about children or adults? realities, especially those that describe a child as an immature, innocent and irrational being and that transfer and relate the space of amusement to this period only and exclusively, showing the adult as serious, efficient and strict in his attitudes. It is possible to date this existential dichotomy at the birth of industrialization processes, when man was supposed to be a work machine and not a human being, when work became the primacy in a person?s social and private life. The fundamental importance of this dissertation is therefore to introduce the relation that arose between amusement and work. The theoretical base for this study is located in the field of materialistic dialectic, as well as in the development of this argument supported by research in this area: contrary to common sense, work can be a reference point as far as amusement in human life is concerned. As to methodological option, the scheme is a qualitative research with a structural dialectic and phenomenological character, and a case study has been chosen. The locus of this research was a community composed of three blind alleys that belongs to the northern district of Porto Alegre, and where it is evident that the adults who live there, through union and integration in the community allied with a regional affinity in the origins, succeed in showing that it is possible to maintain the space of amusement as a source of vital and regenerating energy in their lives, all this through their work, street parties, competitions that are part of the Residents´ Association yearly calendar, cooperative activities, jokes involving adults and children, and a lot of happenings that the reader will discover when reading this piece of work.
