Previous issue date: 2008-04-28 / Nenhuma / Esta dissertação, tendo como marco temporal o intervalo entre 1945 e 1964, estuda o Partido Libertador nos processos eleitorais e no Parlamento Gaúcho, com o objetivo de analisar a atuação política desse partido e traçar seu perfil político-ideológico. Tendo em vista a importância da prática política, em especial para a compreensão do funcionamento do PL como oposição política ao trabalhismo, a ênfase foi dada para a conjuntura do final da década de 1950 e início dos anos 1960 em função das políticas reformistas dos trabalhistas, em especial para o campo. O texto está dividido em cinco capítulos. O primeiro busca as origens do Partido Libertador (PL) no período monárquico e na Primeira República, em função de que o mesmo é um partido herdeiro das tradições de lutas dos antigos maragatos. O segundo capítulo trata da reorganização partidária no país após a queda do Estado Novo, processo no qual é refundado o PL. O terceiro capítulo analisa o comportamento e a atuação do PL nos processos eleitorais em todos os níveis, entre 1945 e 1963. O quarto capítulo mostra a atuação política dos deputados estaduais do PL na Assembléia Legislativa do Rio Grande do Sul no período entre fevereiro de 1959 a agosto de 1961, período que compreende o início do governo Brizola no Rio Grande do Sul até o Movimento da Legalidade. O quinto capítulo mostra também a atuação política dos deputados estaduais do partido na Assembléia Legislativa, no entanto, entre setembro de 1961 a abril de 1964, período marcado pelo contexto de intensa mobilização social e radicalização política. Para a concretização da pesquisa, foram utilizados, além do material bibliográfico, os resultados eleitorais do TRE/RS e os Anais da Assembléia Legislativa do Estado do Rio Grande do Sul. / This dissertation, with the time frame the interval between 1945 and 1964, studies the Liberator Party in the electoral process and in Parliament Gaucho aiming to analyze a party in such action policy and draw your profile polítco-ideological. In view of the importance of political practice, especially for the understanding of the operation of the PL as political opposition to trabalhismo, emphasis was given to the juncture of the end of the 1950 and the early 60. The text is divided into five chapters. The first, seeking the origins of the Libertador (PL) in the period monárquico and the First Republic, according to a party that is heir to the traditions of the old maragatos struggles. The second chapter deals with the reorganization party in the country after the fall of the New State, which is refundado process in the PL. The third chapter examines the behavior and performance of the PL in the electoral process at all levels, between 1945 and 1963. The fourth chapter shows the political action of the Members of the PL in the state Legislative Assembly of Rio Grande do Sul in the period between February 1959 to August 1961, which includes the period beginning of the Government Brizola in Rio Grande do Sul by the Movement of Legality. The fifth chapter, also shows the political action of the Members of the party in the state Legislative Assembly, however, between September 1961 to April 1964 period marked by the context of intense social mobilization and political radicalization. For the completion of the search, were used, in addition to the bibliographic material, the election results of TRE / RS and Anais the Legislative Assembly of the State of Rio Grande do Sul.
