Previous issue date: 2016-03-22 / This study aimed to construct and validate a flipchart on prevention and control of child body weight, to be used for the understanding of children from 7 to 10 years. Methodological study, which took place between April / 2014 and August / 2015 and followed three steps: 1) construction of the flipchart; 2) validation of educational technology specialists; and 3) validation for children 7 to 10 years. In the first stage, the text of the script-chips was drawn up and for the preparation of images and layout was commissioned an illustrator. Finally, we obtained the first version of the flipchart entitled "Excess Weight in Children", drafted in accordance with the story of the Silva family, accompanied by a nurse, and consists of nine figures and nine chips-script. In the second stage, 33 experts in educational and / or childhood overweight technologies reviewed the first version of the material. Data from the assessment were compiled and analyzed in Excel. It used the Content Validity Index (CVI), considered validated the item with CVI ≥ 0.80. Among the experts, most he had a doctorate and was graduated in nursing. On the figures and records, only the plug-script 3 has not reached the CVI cutoff point. As for the content, graphics, layout and relevance, all items were validated. 69.7% of experts considered great album. The Global CVI of educational technology was 0.88. According to the suggestions of experts, changes were made in the material, resulting in the second version of the album, which went on to be entitled "Eye on weight." It was included in the school context, a nutritionist and a physical educator and the parents and grandmother of children were excluded; He sought to focus on the control of body weight and not obesity. Proceeding to the study, in the third stage, the second version of educational technology was appreciated by 42 children, aged 7 and 10 years, students of a public school in Santa Cruz / Rio Grande do Norte (RN). It was applied to the flipchart of group mode by the researcher in charge and made individual interviews to assess the material employees. Figure 4 is only presented CVI less than 0.80. The album featured CVI Global equal to 0.89. the age of the main characters and made adjustments in language and content of water intake and physical activity has changed. Therefore, it is considered the album series "Eye on Weight" validated by experts and the audience on the content and appearance. / Este estudo teve como objetivo construir e validar um álbum seriado sobre prevenção e controle do peso corporal infantil, a ser utilizado para a compreensão de crianças de 7 a 10 anos. Estudo metodológico, que ocorreu entre abril/2014 e agosto/2015, e seguiu três etapas: 1) construção do álbum seriado; 2) validação da tecnologia educativa por especialistas; e 3) validação por crianças de 7 a 10 anos. Na primeira etapa, foi elaborado o texto das fichas-roteiro e, para a elaboração das imagens e diagramação, foi contratado um ilustrador. Ao final, obteve-se a primeira versão do álbum seriado, intitulada “Excesso de Peso em Crianças”, redigida de acordo com a estória da família Silva, acompanhada por uma enfermeira, e constituída por nove figuras e nove fichas-roteiro. Na segunda etapa, 33 especialistas em tecnologias educativas e/ou em excesso de peso infantil avaliaram a primeira versão do material. Os dados da apreciação foram compilados e analisados no programa Excel. Foi utilizado o Índice de Validade de Conteúdo (CVI), sendo considerado validado o item com CVI ≥ 0,80. Dentre os especialistas, a maioria tinha doutorado e era graduado em enfermagem. Sobre as figuras e fichas, apenas a ficha-roteiro 3 não atingiu o ponto de corte do CVI. Quanto ao conteúdo, ilustrações, layout e relevância, todos os itens foram validados. 69,7% dos especialistas consideraram ótimo o álbum. O CVI Global da tecnologia educativa foi 0,88. De acordo com as sugestões dos especialistas, foram realizadas alterações no material, obtendo-se a segunda versão do álbum, que passou a intitular-se “De Olho no Peso”. Incluiu-se o contexto escolar, uma nutricionista e um educador físico, e foram excluídos os pais e a avó das crianças; buscou-se enfocar o controle do peso corporal e não a obesidade. Prosseguindo-se o estudo, na terceira etapa, a segunda versão da tecnologia educativa foi apreciada por 42 crianças, com idade entre 7 e 10 anos, estudantes de uma escola pública de Santa Cruz/Rio Grande do Norte (RN). Foi aplicado o álbum seriado de modo grupal pela pesquisadora responsável e feitas entrevistas individuais para avaliação do material por colaboradores. A figura 4 foi a única que apresentou CVI menor que 0,80. O álbum apresentou CVI Global igual a 0,89. Foi alterada a idade dos personagens principais e feitas adequações na linguagem e no conteúdo sobre ingestão de água e prática de atividade física. Diante disso, considera-se o álbum seriado “De Olho no Peso” validado por especialistas e pelo público-alvo quanto ao conteúdo e aparência.
