Previous issue date: 2010 / This study aimed at pointing out the connection between history, memory and communication from two objects of study, the traumatic memory of the Holocaust and the Military Dictatorship in Brazil, through qualitative research, using the technique of discourse analysis. The memory has two basic fields of study: his case is the subject of biological research in the panorama of neuroscience. In the field of humanities is a concern of psychology, philosophy and social sciences. However, the term collective memory, from the beginning of the twentieth century was owned by the Social Sciences, Social Psychology. Indeed, antagonistic groups take advantage of the media, be the mass media or the segmented media, to wage their battles with the versions of events. In short the control of collective memory. / O presente estudo tem como proposta apontar a conexão entre história, memória e comunicação a partir de dois objetos de estudo, a Memória Traumática do Holocausto e da Ditadura Militar no Brasil, por meio de pesquisa qualitativa, com uso da técnica de análise de discurso. A memória tem dois campos de estudos básicos: sua vertente biológica é objeto de pesquisa no panorama das neurociências. No terreno das humanidades é motivo de preocupação da psicologia, da filosofia e das ciências sociais. Entretanto, o termo memória coletiva, a partir do começo do século XX foi apropriado pelas Ciências Sociais da Psicologia Social. Com efeito, grupos antagônicos tiram proveito dos meios de comunicação, sejam os mass media, seja a mídia segmentada, para travarem suas batalhas pelas versões dos fatos.
