Įžengus į žinių ir informacinių technologijų amžių, vykstant globalizacijai bei sparčiai darbo veiklos pasaulio kaitai svarbu tampa ruošti nebe siauros srities specialistą, bet generalistą. Tai reiškia, kad svarbu aukštojoje mokykloje paruošti asmenį, turintį bendrąsias kompetencijas, t. y. tuos gebėjimus, kurie gali būti lengvai transformuojami iš vienos veiklos į kitą ir, kurie yra įsidarbinimo, mokslų tęsimo, asmens saviraiškos, socialinės integracijos bei karjeros plėtojimo pagrindas. Taigi darosi aktualu aukštojo mokslo kokybę analizuoti bendrųjų kompetencijų išugdymo aspektu. Šio magistrinio darbo tikslas – išanalizuoti ugdytinų bendrųjų kompetencijų kokybę aukštojoje mokykloje. Darbe analizuojama ugdymo kokybės sampratos kaita, aukštojo mokslo kokybė teisiniu aspektu, apžvelgiamas studijų programų modernizavimas bendrųjų kompetencijų aspektu. Išanalizavus daugelio autorių nuomonę, buvo sukurtas ugdytinų bendrųjų kompetencijų aukštojoje mokykloje modelis. Pagrindiniai darbo metodai: mokslinės literatūros ir aukštąjį mokslą reglamentuojančių teisės aktų analizė, studijų programų aprašų turinio (content) analizė, anketinė apklausa, statistinių duomenų analizė. Tyrimo rezultatai parodė, kad skirtingų kompetencijų grupių skirtingi elementai fakultetuose išplėtojami / išugdomi nevienodai. Esminiai skirtumai išryškėjo tarp FIF ir EF. It means that it is important to prepare a person which has developed transferable competences, e. g. those abilities which can be easily transfered from one activity to another and which are the basis of personal perfection, job placement, self – expression, social integration, lifelong learning and career development. Therefore it becomes important to analyze the quality of higher education understanding it as transferable competences‘ development. The main task of this research work is to analyze the quality of developed transferable competences at Vilnius university. The conception of changes of education quality in Higher Education and legal aspects of the quality of higher Education were analyzed. A modernization of study programmes as the development of educated transferable competences was disputed. After analyzing the opinions of different authors, a theoretical model of transferable competences to be developed was created. The following research methods in order to implement the main purpose were chosen: the analysis of scientific literature, the analysis of Lithuanian and international legal documents regulating the quality of Higher Education, the analysis of the content of study programmes, the questionnaire, statistical comparative analysis of data.
