El presente estudio explora la experiencia de maternidad en madres de niños con dificultades auditivas pre lingüísticas de un grupo de madres de Lima. Para tal propósito se realizó una investigación cualitativa en la cual se entrevistó a cinco madres de niños con dificultades auditivas entre 28 y 47 años, cuyos hijos tuvieran entre 8 y 11 años de edad. Se indagó aspectos de la experiencia de maternidad a través de una entrevista semi estructurada. Se concluye que la dificultad auditiva de los hijos es considerada por las participantes como un factor que afecta de manera importante diversos aspectos su vivencia, tanto a nivel del rol parental como en aspectos adicionales de su vida como el aspecto laboral y la vida de pareja. Asimismo, la capacidad de los niños para comunicarse con sus madres resulta una de las principales preocupaciones de las mismas y se ve asociada a diversos aspectos del rol parental. The present study explores the experience of motherhood in mothers of children with prelingual hearing impairment of a group of mothers from Lima. For this purpose we conducted a qualitative study in which we worked with five mothers of children with hearing difficulties between the ages 28 and 47, whose children are between 8 and 11 years old. The study explores aspects of the experience of motherhood through a semi-structured interview. We conclude that hearing impairment of the children significantly affects various aspects of the experience of mothers, both in her parental role as in additional aspects of her life as her working life and love life. Also, the ability of the children to communicate with their mothers is one of the main concerns of them and directly affects how they develop all aspects of the parental role. / Tesis
