Orientador: Erotilde Goreti Pezatti / Banca: Hella Olbertz / Banca: Marize Mattos Dall'aglio Hattnher / Resumo: Baseado em um trabalho de pesquisa anterior, denominado Ordenação de constituintes do sintagma verbal nas variedades portuguesas (FAPESP - Processo no. 2010/19767-1), a presente pesquisa tem como proposta esclarecer a natureza das construções perifrásticas e não-perifrásticas da língua portuguesa, por meio da aplicação de testes de auxiliaridade e, especialmente, da ordem de constituintes do sintagma verbal no português. Para tanto, toma-se como aparato teórico a Gramática Discursivo-Funcional, desenvolvida por Hengeveld e Mackenzie (2008), assumindo uma perspectiva funcional para a ordenação de constituintes e para a análise das construções verbais em português. Como universo de pesquisa são tomadas ocorrências reais de uso extraídas do corpus oral organizado pelo Centro de Linguística da Universidade de Lisboa, em parceria com a Universidade de Toulouse-le-Mirail e a Universidade de Provença-Aix-Marselha, do qual foram selecionadas as amostragens referentes às variedades que constituem língua oficial do país, ou seja, a brasileira, a portuguesa e as africanas. Após a seleção, os dados são analisados de acordo com a aplicação de testes de auxiliaridade, conforme apresentados em Castilho (2010): i) compartilhamento do sujeito da expressão; ii) escopo da negação; iii) alteração semântica do verbo auxiliar; (iv) inserção de expressões entre o verbo auxiliar e o pleno. O quarto teste diz respeito à ordem de constituintes, fator que se mostrou essencial para a definição das construções perifrásticas e não-perifrásticas em português, visto que revela a impossibilidade de tratar construções com os verbos começar, continuar, acabar, passar, dever, poder, querer, etc. no domínio do Sintagma. Os resultados ressaltam, portanto, a característica auxiliar dos verbos ter, haver, e ir (quando indicador de futuridade) para a formação do tempo composto; estar e ir para a indicação de aspecto ... / Abstract: Based on a previous research, denominated Ordering of constituents in a verb phrase in portuguese varieties (FAPESP - Process 2010/19767-1), the proposal of this research is clarify the nature of periphrastic and non-periphrastic constructions of Portuguese language, by the application of auxiliarity tests and especially of the order of constituents in Portuguese verb phrase. For this, we consider the theoretical framework of Functional Discourse Grammar developed by Hengeveld and Mackenzie (2008), assuming the functional perspective to the ordination of the constituents and for the analysis of verbal constructions in Portuguese. The research universe are actual occurrences extracted of oral corpus organized by Linguistics Center of University of Lisbon in partnership with University of Toulouse-le-Mirail and the University of Provença-Aix-Marselha, which were selected samplings referred to the varieties that constitutes countries official language, in this case, brazilian, portuguese and africans. After the selection, the occurrences are analyzed according to the application of the auxiliarity tests, as presented in Castilho (2010): i) sharing the subject of the expression; ii) scope of negation; iii) semantic alteration of the auxiliary verb; (iv) insertion of expressions between the auxiliary verb and the main verb. The fourth test is related to the order of constituents, a factor that proved essential to the definition of periphrastic and non-periphrastic constructions in Portuguese, seeing that it shows the impossibility of treating the constructions with the verbs begin, continue, finish, pass, must, want, etc. as verb phrase.
