Escolhemos a filosofia existencial de Merleau-Ponty e a obra de Paulo Freire para compreendermos os contextos, as experiências e reflexões vividas na vida pessoal e nas formações iniciais e continuadas destes professores. Buscamos em estudos de Marilena Chauí pontos para dialogar com os diferentes aspectos da cultura humana para apresentar a trama entre os temas: dança, corporeidade e formação de professores. Objetivamos: compreender como a dança na vida de professores integra a elaboração de suas corporeidades; verificar os significados das experiências e reflexões de professores quanto à dança em seus processos de formação continuada e compreender se o Curso de Aperfeiçoamento em Dança, oferecido pela Prefeitura de uma cidade da região central do Estado de São Paulo, no período de 2006 a 2011, tendo como proponente a pesquisadora deste trabalho, no modelo de formação contínua em serviço, mostrou-se como possibilidade de transformação de professores no relato de suas experiências e reflexões. Optamos por uma abordagem qualitativa com inspiração em pressupostos epistemológicos da fenomenologia e nos estudos dos temas geradores de Paulo Freire para analisar as descrições dos professores sobre suas trajetórias com a dança. (Resumo completo, clicar acesso eletrônico abaixo) / Abstract: We direct this research to the understanding of how dance throughout the trajectories of personal and professional life of teachers integrates the elaboration of their corporeities. We chose the existential philosophy of Merleau-Ponty and the work of Paulo Freire to understand the contexts, experiences and reflections lived in the personal life and in the initial and continued formations of these teachers. We seek in Marilena Chauí studies points to dialogue with different aspects of human culture to present the plot between the themes: dance, corporeity and teacher training. Objective: to understand how dance in the life of teachers integrates the elaboration of their corporeities; to verify the meanings of teachers' experiences and reflections on dance in their continuing education processes and to understand if the Dance Improvement Course offered by City Hall of a city in the central region of the State of São Paulo from 2006 to 2011, Having as proponent the researcher of this work, in the model of continuous in-service training, was shown as a possibility of teachers transformation in the reporting of their experiences and reflections. We opted for a qualitative approach with inspiration in epistemological assumptions of phenomenology and in the studies of the generative themes of Paulo Freire to analyze the descriptions of teachers about their trajectories with dance. The subjects of this research are 3 teachers and 1 teacher of the City Hall of a city of the central region of the State of São Paulo, with average age of 53 years and who participated during improvement in dance, throughout the period of its realization.
