Orientador(a): Fátima Elisabeth Denari / Resumo: Considerando que a escola de Educação Básica recebe uma diversidade cultural e é um dos principais agentes de formação e constituição do homem, esse espaço passa a ser um cenário fascinante para compreender como a sexualidade vem influenciando na cultura e no comportamento das crianças com idade escolar. Assim surge o interesse em estudar a sexualidade humana bem como a temática da pesquisa; pesquisar o ambiente escolar, investigar as concepções de professores e funcionários sobre sexualidade e a manifestação desta, para alunos e alunas. A presente pesquisa norteou-se a partir da abordagem de investigação qualitativa que enfatiza a descrição, a indução, a teoria fundamentada e o estudo das percepções pessoais. Participaram dessa pesquisa nove funcionárias e 13 professores (as) que trabalham em uma escola de educação básica. Para a realização da pesquisa foi utilizado um questionário estruturado. Após a coleta de dados, o questionário foi submetido a análise exploratória, as perguntas foram analisadas e agrupadas por categorias temáticas. Os dados indicam que ainda permanecem arraigados conceitos tradicionalmente passados com base em desconhecimento, preconceitos, medo, insegurança, não obstante a mídia exercer um chamamento intenso sobre aspectos da manifestação da sexualidade os dados indicam, ainda, que muito ainda precisa ser feito para que, de fato, a educação sexual seja implantada nessa instituição. (Resumo completo, clicar acesso eletrônico abaixo) / Abstract: Considering that the school of Basic Education receives a cultural diversity and is one of the main agents of formation and constitution of the man, this space becomes a fascinating scenario to understand how sexuality has been influencing in the culture and the behavior of the children to school age. Thus arises the interest in studying human sexuality as well as the research theme; research the school environment, investigate the conceptions of teachers and employees about sexuality and the manifestation of this, for students.The present research was guided by a qualitative research approach that emphasizes description, induction, grounded theory and the study of personal perceptions. Nine female employees and 13 teachers working in a basic education school participated in this research. A structured questionnaire was used to conduct the research. After the data collection, the questionnaire was submitted to an exploratory analysis, the questions were analyzed and grouped by thematic categories. The data indicate that concepts traditionally based on ignorance, prejudice, fear and insecurity remain ingrained, despite the fact that the media exert an intense call on aspects of the manifestation of sexuality, the data also indicate that much still needs to be done so that, in fact, sex education is implanted in this institution.
