Dolda blåmärken - ärren som inte syns : En diskursanalys av kvinnors samtal om egna erfarenheter av och i diskussioner om våld i nära relation

Male violence against women in intimate partner relationships is a worldwide health problem. The term domestic violence has emerged in the context of patriarchy being questioned, a discourse that have increased with industrialization development during the 1900s. The patriarchal society where the man was the breadwinner and the woman was thus economically dependant and subordinate to man. The presence of women who are victims of domestic violence is high in Sweden. One in five women in Sweden is och has been a victim of domestic violence and it´s about violence, intimidation, power and control. The purpose of this essay comprises women experiences of violence from an intimate partnershhip. The theories I choose was experiental learning, discourse analysis, power and gender perspective. This paper was to perform a discourse analysis based on interviews of existing material. When the search of previous reserarch was done, I found no discourses analysis in Sweden about women´s experiences of domestic violence, there made this essay. Violence in domestic relationship is debated in the media space and this thesis was to focus on what women says in the debate for an experiental learning. The women interviewed talk about the violence and the health consequenses as being in violence in domestic relationship. This essay analysis how the discourse towards woman´s experience, health discourse inspired from KASAM and power discourse are used in the debates in media. This essay examines how women experienced their own situation for experience based learning in a health educational direction. The majorities who have experienced violence in domestic partnership feels guilt and shame for the violences and takes the blame. It is largely about the normalization process that gradually comes into a violence domestic relationship. In a discourse speaks about the law of gross violations of women came to protecting women from domestic partnership. The conclusion is that it is important and that we dare to see and talk about domestic violence. It is only with greater, deeper knowledge and changed attitudes at all levels of society that makes the preventive work against violence possible.
