"There is a crack in everything. That's how the light gets in"

I work with the portrayal of the human mind and emotions in the form of animal sculptures. I sculpt images that hits me from nowhere. I leave subtle traces of myself on them, how I felt when I carved an eye might show. I am depicting myself and my emotions. Together with parts of poetic songlyrics and the body language of the figures I try to express a deeper and hidden sentiment within the sculptures. I want to communicate on an emotional level by creating objects that moves the viewer and makes them recognize the fragile and vulnerable parts of themselves, the broken parts of our inner self, the ugly stuff that’s hidden in the cracks of our minds. I want to lift it out in the light and see beauty in the saddest of feelings.
