The alchemical term solve et coagula describes the two stages of the refinement process that materials go through to transform into another form. This work is a result of an idea of how dissolution and coagulation can occur in painting and how it manifests physically. Each physical object, break it apart to its core and elements, and you will find it in the land. As a thought, a dream, or a memory, it is part of the landscape of your mind.
