Idag byggs det enormt mycket i Sverige, över hela landet men speciellt i städerna. Det byggs bostadsområden, affärsområden, industriområden, infrastruktur och annat för att skapa morgondagens samhälle. Det är under stor tidspress och konkurrens som byggnadsprojekt utförs. På grund av den tidspress byggbolagen ställs inför krävs ett enormt samarbete mellan alla inblandade parter. Trots att aktörer inom branschen påstår att samordningen mellan alla parter är enormt viktigt så brister det i över hälften av alla projekt. Detta examensarbete undersöker varför samordningen brister, vad det får för konsekvenser samt redovisar hur viktigt samordningsansvaret är och att det bör prioriteras under hela byggprocessen. Intervjuer och frågeformulär har gett en klar bild på hur samordningen ser ut idag, varför den brister, vad som krävs för att förbättra den samt vad en bristfällig samordning leder till för konsekvenser. Vidare har jämförelsestudien och granskning av ÄTA-arbeten gett en redogörelse för de ekonomiska konsekvenser som uppstår på grund av en bristfällig samordning. Vidare redovisar rapporten hur man kan effektivisera byggprocessen genom att ge utrymme för samordningen, i projektering samt under produktion. / Sweden is expanding and a lot of constructions are under process across the country, but especially in the cities. There are residential areas, business areas, industrial areas, infrastructure being built and are resulting in a future society. It is under great pressure and competition building projects are being carried out. Due to the time constraints that the construction companies face, enormous cooperation is needed between all parties involved. Although industry actors claim that coordination between all parties is enormously important, it is not covered enough in over half of all projects. This thesis examines explores why coordination fails, what the consequences are and explains how important the coordination is and that it should be prioritized throughout the construction process. Interviews and questionnaires have given a clear picture of how coordination looks today, why it is lacking, what it takes to improve it, and what the consequences of defective coordination are. Furthermore, the comparative study and review of ÄTA has provided an understanding of the financial consequences that arise due to defective coordination. The thesis examines also describe how to improve the construction process by providing enough space for coordination, in both projection and production.
