Matematisk samhällskunskap? : En studie om elevers syn på relationen mellan matematik och samhällskunskap. / Mathematical social studies? : A study that examines students views on the relationship between mathematics and social studies.

The purpose of this study is to examine high-school student’s views on the relationship between mathematics and social studies. A qualitative method had been used to fulfill this purpose. Six students were interviewed and the result of the study, shows that the students do not see a stronger connection between the subjects. Another result is that the participants talked about benefits for the motivation by working interdisciplinary between mathematics and social studies.
