Att navigera sig fram i en vardag fylld med kontraster : En integrerad översikt om hur det är att vara anhörig till någon med en bipolär sjukdom

Background: Being close to someone with bipolar disorder can have a major impact on dailylife. It can be about the difficulties of meeting and dealing with the patient's mood withoutruining the relationship or having to take great responsibility to minimize the negativeconsequences that can come with this. At the same time, for example, work and family life mustcontinue and function as usual. Aim: The aim of this study was to compile knowledge aboutwhat it is like to be close to someone with bipolar disorder. Method: We used the matrixmethod to compile results from 15 included articles, which resulted in three themes:Responsibility and stress, Community and participation and Managing everyday life. Results:The results showed that it is a great strain on one's everyday life and that it is important to getsupport so that the responsibility does not become too heavy to bear. Conclusion: Ourconclusion is thus that the social network and healthcare can play an important role both interms of information and education, but also physical relief.
