Föräldra- och vårdnadshavarsamverkan ur ett socioekonomiskt perspektiv; En jämförande kvalitativ studie av förskollärares syn på samverkan och professionalitet

After Sweden's large refugee immigration in 2015, the government saw a lack in the reception of refugees. An investigation concluded, among other things, that the state, the municipality and county councils needed together handle the reception with a clear division of responsibility. With this said, the requirements for municipalities will be higher in terms of reception, but also in terms of informing and communicating with newly arrived migrants. Thereby, preschools has a responsibility to work whith parents and guardians for a good communication and cooperation which makes it possible for them to take part of their rights and at the same time gain insight into their child's everyday life. The purpose of the thesis is to investigate preschool teachers' work with guardians and parents in terms of cooperation, and further, if there are differences in this work due to preschool location in different socio-economic contexts. The study shows that the preschools has different prerequisites for cooperation with parents and guardians. Furthermore, a difference is shown in the possibilities for parents and guardians to be able to communicate, access information and to be able to influence and participate in the preschool´s work. At the same time, the conclusions show a variation in terms of the preschool teachers' view of their profession. The teachers view seemes to vary depending on the parents or the guardians different capital holdings, which gives this parental and guardian group, in relation to the preschool teachers, different levels of status and power.
