Diskussionen om disciplin, menar vi, har präglat mycket av de senaste årens skoldebatt. Syftet med detta arbete är att undersöka om nuvarande och kommande skollag ger mandat för lärare att kunna skapa ordning i skolan. För att besvara våra frågeställningar och uppnå vårt syfte gjorde vi en litteraturstudie över de skollagar vi nämnde tidigare. Det vi fann om disciplin i dessa skollagar menar vi ger inte tillräckligt med stöd för lärare att skapa den ordning som vi menar behövs för att kunna bedriva undervisning och ha den fostransroll som yrket kräver. Dock råder det skillnad mellan gällande skollag som endast innehåller få föreskrifter rörande lärares möjlighet att skapa disciplin och komman-de skollag vilken inrymmer betydligt fler föreskrifter som, vi menar, ger lärare ett större mandat att skapa disciplin. / The discussion concerning issues of discipline, we believe, has characterized much of the recent school debate. The aim of this work is to examine whether current and future school legislation provides teachers with a sufficient mandate to maintain at school. In order to answer our questions and achieve our aim, we made a literature study of these school laws. We found that stipulations concerning discipline contained in the school laws do not provide enough support for teachers to maintain the order that we believe is needed to engage in teaching and play the part in the children’s social training that is required in the profession. However, there is a difference between the existing school legislation, which only contains few provisions relating to teachers' ability to create dis-cipline, and upcoming school legislation, which includes many more regulations, thereby giving teachers a broader mandate to create discipline, we believe.
