Undervisningspraktik, kritik, och granskning: en kunskapsöversikt över svenska historieläroböcker

In this paper we aim to answer the question: “What kind of teaching practice, criticism, and review is most prominent in the current research about Swedish history school books and literature ?”. Swedish school books was governed and quality controlled by the state and school ministry between the years 1938 and 1991. Ever since 1991 the production of school books has been largely governed by the authors and publishers of said books and often loosely fact-checked by the teaching community. In our research we found that there are numerous social structures that influences what the content in the history school books should be. There is also a lot of criticism aimed towards those same social structures which form our collective history culture. We have also found that there are many ways that teachers use textbooks in their teaching practice.
