Vem bestämmer det då? : En studie om barns perspektiv på deras egna delaktighet och inflytande

Title: Says who? The child's perspective on the pedagogue and the preschool The main purpose of this study is to investigate the child's perspective of the pedagogue in preschool and their own possibilities to participate on their own terms and have a real influence on the daily activities. The questions that I have used in order to help me answering the main purpose have been: What is the role of the teacher in preschool based on the child's perspective? How do the children view the influence and participation they have in preschool? When and about what does the adults versus children decides in preschool, according to the child? To be able to study the child's perspective on this matter have I been observing and interviewing six children at the age of five years old in a preschool. I have used a hermeneutic research approach in order to interpret the results. The main result of this study is that from a child's perspective, their possibilities for participation and having a real influence are relatively limited. The limitation is depending on the social standards that is influencing the preschool. The child's perspective on the pedagogue is that it should be a kind, fun and caring person.
