L(IT)E Stöd och Service : Hur den digitala arbetsmiljön upplevs hos boendehandledare på gruppbostad

The Swedish Work Environment Authority published a report in 2015 on digital work environment, where they established a definition of digital work environment. To examine a digital work environment I chose a profession not directly related to knowledge work, but a profession working with people with functional disability living in group-homes, because a digitalization of work is to occur in almost all professions today. To examine the digital work environment I conducted a qualitative study including four semi-structured interviews with those who work in group-homes. The study was limited to the journal system Procapita and how the work with documenting in the digital system affected the digital work environment, though the workers were talking about other technical artefacts that could also relate to digital work environment. The interviews showed some cognitive, psychosocial and physical work environment problems, changes in demands from the organization due to digitalization of work and also benefits from digitalization of the journal system, but noconclusive facts can be drawn due to lack of comprehensive data. Attention to digital work environment is crucial because work environment is changing due to digitalization. Some suggestions to further research is presented.
