Detta projekt handlar om att ta fram ett konstruktionsunderlag för en brandbox till skogsmaskiner, som har en vattentank samt ett förvaringsutrymme för att kunna ta med sig det tillbehör man behöver vid första insats eller vid eftersläckningsarbete av skogsbränder. Projektet utfördes på uppdrag av Vimek som är ett företag i Vindeln som tillverkar skogsmaskiner och tillbehör till dessa. Vimek har för tillfället ingen brandbox ute på marknaden och undersöker om de är värt att satsa på att tillverka en sådan. Maskinerna som skall användas vid detta projekt är modellerna 606 samt 610, och designen ska passa båda modellerna. Konstruktionen som skapats under detta arbete är en ram som är gjord i fyrkantsrör med dimensionerna 30 x 30 x 1.5 mm som en intermediate bulk container (IBC) tank på 300 liter går att placera på en sidan av konstruktionen och andra sidan är gjort så att man ska kunna få med sig brandutrustningen som behövs vid skogsbränder med fokusering på eftersläckningen. Konstruktionen väger ca 371 kg med den utrustning man behöver ha med sig. Denna vikt är utan tillkommande platta som behövs för att ramen ska passa båda modellerna och den kan lyftas på plats för hand, därav är inte vikten includerad. Genom diskussioner med handledare på Vimek och erfarna brandmän har det diskuterats hur design och funktion ska vara. Designen ritades i CAD och efter godkännande av handledare fortsattes arbetet med beräkningar och undersökning av olika brandtillbehör som kan komma till användning. Slutresultatet blev en stabil lättanvänd brandbox. Slutsumman på konstruktionen inklusive tillbehör hamnade på 6 835 kr ex moms. / This project was concerned with the design of a versatile firebox for forest machines. The firebox should include a water tank and storage space for fire-fighting equipment for first operations or post-extinguishing of forest fires. The project was carried out on behalf of Vimek, a company located in Vindeln that manufactures forest machines and suitable accessories. The machines to be used in this project are models Vimek 606 and 610. The design must fit both models. The construction created during this work is a frame made of square pipes with the dimensions 30 x 30 x 1.5 mm. On one side, one can place an intermediate bulk container (IBC) tank of 300 liters. On the other side of the frame, there is space for fire-fighting equipment needed for forest fires with a focus on post extinguishing. The construction weighs about 371 kg, including the equipment you need to bring with you. The weight is without additional plate needed for the frame to fit both models and it can be lifted in place by hand, therefore the weight is not included. Design and function of the firebox were thoroughly discussed with supervisors at Vimek and experienced firefighters. The design was drawn in CAD and after approval, the work continued with calculations and investigation of various fire-fighting accessories. The end result was a stable, easy-to-use firebox. The total cost for the construction, including accessories, was 6 835 SEK (excluding consumption tax).
