The report aim to increase awareness of factors that have a major role when remodelling an apartment building from the 1950s to offices. The thesis can be used for future projects when remodelling apartments to offices. The report can provide ideas and inspirations on how this can be done in an effective way, ie . A way that does not require rebuilding the supporting structure, but only non bearing walls. The thesis also gives insight on the parts that will need to be supplemented from Boverket’s requirements in terms of accessibility, acoustic and fire requirements. The methods used in this thesis are literature studies, case study and sketch work. In the literature studies, the primary sources were Boverkets byggregler BBR, and Arbetsmiljöverkets föreskrift AFS 2009:2 but other literature were also used. The primary items were chosen from the literature studies and they were further analysed in the sketch work. It shows how the most common office solutions can be remodelled without tearing down load bearing walls and change the existing apartment building in an excessive degree. A case study of an apartment building is described. / Rapportens syfte är att öka kunskapen om de faktorer som har en avgörande betydelse vid ombyggnation av ett flerbostadshus från 1950-talet till kontor.Examensarbetet kan användas för framtida projekt av ombyggnation av boende till kontor. Arbetet kan ge idéer och inspiration om hur ändringar kan göras på ett effektivt sätt. Dvs. på ett sätt där ombyggnation av bärande stommen inte krävs utan endast ändringar av icke bärande väggar. Rapporten ska även ge insyn på de delar som kommer att behöva kompletteras m.h.t. Boverkets krav gällande handikappanpassning, ljud- och brandkrav. Hänsyn till installationer tas dock inte med i denna rapport.Metoderna som använts i detta examensarbete är litteraturstudier, tillämpning på en specifik byggnad samt skissarbete. I litteraturstudien valdes främst Boverkets byggregler BBR, och arbetsmiljöverkets föreskrift AFS 2009:2 men även annan litteratur. Ur litteraturen valdes de viktigaste punkterna som vidare analyserades i skissarbetet. Det visar förslag på hur de vanligaste kontorslösningarna kan göras om utan att riva ner bärande väggar och förändra det befintliga flerbostadshuset i alltför stor grad. I fallstudien beskrivs ett flerbostadshus.
