Bakgrund: Överrapporteringen som sker inom vården har en viktig roll för omvårdnaden och behandling av patienter. Det finns olika rapporteringssätt och ett utav dessa är bedsiderapportering, som börjar bli allt vanligare inom dagens sjukvård. Brister i kommunikationen kan leda till felbehandlingar och vårdskador. Sjuksköterskor anser att rapportering som sker vid patientens säng minskar risken för missförstånd och därigenom ökar patientsäkerheten, vilken även stärks när patienterna blir involverade i sin vård. Syfte: Studiens syfte var att ta reda på hur patienter upplevde kommunikationsverktyget bedsiderapportering (BRT) i vården. Metod: Litteraturstudien baserades på åtta kvalitativa och två mixade originalartiklar. Resultat: Resultatet redovisas i tre huvudkategorier; Patienternas delaktighet, patientsäkerhet och kommunikation. De flesta patienter ansåg BRT vara en bra metod för att bli delaktiga i vården, samt för att vården skulle upplevas bättre och säkrare för patienterna. Patienterna uppgav att relationen till sjuksköterskorna var viktig och att BRT bidrog till att den personliga kontakten stärktes. De ansåg även att deras medverkan vid rapporteringen möjliggjorde att korrekt information om deras tillstånd förmedlades. Patienterna föredrog också en öppen dialog och samverkan, samt uttryckte att ett lättförståeligt språk från sjuksköterskorna främjade delaktigheten. Slutsats: Litteraturstudiens resultat lyfter fram både många positiva och negativa åsikter om patienters upplevelser av BRT. Resultatet visar att BRT är ett stort steg i rätt riktning mot patienternas delaktighet och den personcentrerade vården. Författarna anser dock att mer forskning inom området behöver göras för att garantera att rapporteringsverktyget uppskattas av patienterna. / Background: The handover reporting in healthcare is an important part in the care and treatment of patients. There are different ways of reporting and one of those is bedside handover, this type of handover is becoming more common in today’s healthcare. Lack of communication can lead to inaccurate treatments and in some cases result in injuries due to incorrect treatment of patient. Nurses therefore consider a bedside handover by the patient’s bed to reduce the risk of misunderstanding and instead increase the patient’s safety. Has the opportunity to participate in their care. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to find out how the patients experienced the bedside handover (BRT). Method: The literature study was based on eight qualitative and two mixed original articles. Result: The result is reported in three main categories; Patients participation, patient safety and communication. Most of the patients considered BRT to be a good method. It engages the patients in the treatment process and therefore creates a safer health care environment. Patients expressed that the relationship with the nurses was important and that BRT contributed to strengthening the personal contact. The patients also said that by being involved in the reporting process it was possible to correct any information about their condition that might be incorrect. Patients also preferred an open dialogue and that the nurses would use non-medical language because it makes it easier for the patient to be involved. Conclusion: The results from the literature study highlights the patients experience of BRT, both the positive and negative opinions. It shows that BRT is a big step in the right direction towards increasing the patients involvement and the person-centered care. However, the authors believe that more research in the field is necessary to make sure that the choice of reporting is appreciated by the patients.
