[pt] Esta dissertação busca os caminhos da memória no percurso
que Mia Couto inventou em seus contos e crônicas.
Estabelece um diálogo entre esse escritor e outros autores
que se preocuparam em relacionar a memória com a formação de
diferentes identidades culturais. Levando em consideração o
desenvolvimento de Moçambique ao longo de sua história, a
própria condição híbrida desse país e as conseqüências das
guerras, o escritor resgata a memória através da
preservação das tradições e da cultura local. Essa leitura
percorre duas figuras emblemáticas do tempo: o velho e a
criança. Mia Couto deseja que Moçambique tenha um futuro
melhor. / [en] This essay enphirizes the ways of the memory that Mia Couto
created on his tales and chronicles. He sets up a dialogue
among this author and were engaged in connecting the memory
with all different culture identity. Looking carefuly to the
development of Moçambique, its hybrid condition and the
consequences of the wars, the writer rescues memory as a
trial to preserve the tradition of local culture. This
reading focuses some Mia Coutos narratives that stand out
the importance of the two symbolic figures: the old and the
child. Mia Couto wishes Moçambique may have a better
tomorrow.
