Le patrimoine culturel immatériel (PCI) est la catégorie émergeante créée par l’UNESCO grâce à la convention de 2003. Celle-ci permet de protéger des éléments culturels intangibles, jusqu’alors sous la responsabilité unique des individus et communautés en ayant la charge. Ce moyen innovant mis à leur disposition permet aujourd’hui de percevoir des savoir-faire et pratiques sous un jour nouveau. Dans notre travail de thèse nous posons comme hypothèse principale, qu’une pédagogie, définie comme une pratique, peut être inscrite sur les listes du patrimoine culturel immatériel. Pour étayer cette hypothèse, notre étude s’appuie sur l’exemple de la pédagogie mise en œuvre par J.-F. Oberlin au Ban de la Roche (XVIIIème siècle). Un PCI devant être vivant et renouvelé en permanence, nous examinons par la suite, les réinterprétations successives de ses héritiers, jusqu’à celle développée par la communauté de pratique du musée Oberlin de Waldersbach. Nous nous appuyons plus particulièrement sur son service éducatif (La Maison des Enfants). / Intangible cultural heritage (ICH) is the emerging category created by UNESCO through the 2003 convention which helps protect intangible cultural elements, hitherto under responsibility of individuals and communities in charge. This innovative approach of protecting such elements provides new ways to valorize them. The main hypothesis of this PHD work is that pedagogy, defined as a practice, can be entered in the lists of intangible cultural heritage. To support this hypothesis, our study uses the example of pedagogy implemented by J.-F. Oberlin in Ban de la Roche (XVIII century). An ICH has to be alive and renewed permanently. That is why we examine later its successive reinterpretations made by his heirs until the one developed by the community of practice within the Oberlin museum Waldersbach. We focus particularly on its educational service (La Maison des Enfants).
