Die vorliegende Studie sollte die Erwartungshaltung, Akzeptanz sowie die physische und psychische Durchführbarkeit hinsichtlich einer Übergewichts-Simulation bei Kindern und Jugendlichen überprüfen. Die Teilnahme an der Simulation ermöglichte es den Proband*innen, typische Alltagsprobleme adipöser Menschen realitätsnah zu erfahren.
Insgesamt 58 Schülerinnen und Schüler im Alter von 13 bis 16 Jahren nahmen an dem Projekt teil und durchliefen die Übergewichts-Simulation.
Die Ergebnisse zeigten eine positive Erwartungshaltung gegenüber der Simulation. Zudem wurde verdeutlicht, dass der Kurs von der überwiegenden Mehrheit als positiv empfunden und somit akzeptiert wurde. Auch zeigte sich, dass die Übungen physisch und psychisch gut durchführbar waren. / The present study aimed to assess expectations, the acceptance rate, as well as physical and psychological executability of an overweight simulation designed for children and adolescents. Participation in the simulation enabled the subjects to experience typical everyday problems of obese people in a realistic fashion.
A total of 58 pupils (age, 13 – 16) participated in the established overweight simulation.
The results showed positive expectations towards the simulation. The vast majority perceived the course as positive, supporting the notion that the tested overweight simulation was accepted by the participants. It was also shown that the exercises were easily to perform, on both a physical and mental level.
