Tiefgreifender und dauerhafter als der Krieg sollte die erschriebene Liebe von Anna und Gustav sein, deren Re-/Konstruktion im Zentrum dieser Arbeit steht. Die qualitativ-hermeneutische Analyse der mehr als 745 Briefe, die sie zwischen 1942 und 1955 austauschten, lässt die Entwicklung ihrer Beziehung von einer flüchtigen Briefbekanntschaft zu einer tiefen Freundschaft nachvollziehen, die schließlich in der Gründung einer ehelichen Gemeinschaft münden sollte. In der Verbindung vielfältiger Lesarten als Alltags-, Liebes- Feldpost- und Jugendbriefe, wird der textuelle Beziehungsraum des Paares erkundet und in den Kontext des Schreibens in der Zeit des Nationalsozialismus eingebettet. Durch die kriegsbedingte Trennung auf das Schreiben angewiesen, fixieren sie ausführliche Erzählungen über gelebte Alltage, ihren katholischen Glauben, die sozialen Gefüge, in denen sie sich bewegen und (gemeinsam) verorten sowie ihre entstehende Liebe und Zukunftsvorstellungen. Für diese im Kontext einer interdisziplinären Anthropologie des Schreibens zu verstehende Arbeit gewähren sie damit tiefe Einblicke in den Prozess des Erschreibens ihrer Beziehung und die Frage, wie sie sich das Medium Brief für ihre Zwecke aneigneten. Die in ähnlichen Forschungen selten einbezogene Frauenstimme gibt dabei zusätzliche Informationen preis – über die Alltagskultur der Zeit, die Wirkmächtigkeit der (Selbst-) Zensur und darüber, wie sie beide im Schreiben ungewollt die Kriegsführung des NS-Regimes unterstützten. / More profound and enduring than the war was to be the written love of Anna and Gustav, whose re-/construction is the subject of this work. The qualitative-hermeneutic analysis of the more than 745 letters they exchanged between 1942 and 1955 allows to trace the development of their relationship from a fleeting epistolary acquaintance to a deep friendship that would eventually culminate in the establishment of a marital union. Combining multiple interpretations as everyday letters, love letters, fieldpost letters, and youth letters, the textual space of the couple's relationship is explored and embedded in the context of writing during the period of National Socialism. Dependent on the practice of writing due to their war-related separation, they captured detailed narratives about their everyday lives, their catholic faith, the social structures in which they operated and (jointly) located themselves, as well as their evolving love and visions for the future. For this work, which is to be understood in the context of an interdisciplinary anthropology of writing, they provide deep insights into the process of writing their relationship and how they appropriated the medium of the letter for their purposes. The female voice, which is rarely included in previous research, reveals additional information – about the everyday culture of the time, the effectiveness of (self-) censorship, and how they both unintentionally supported the warfare of the NS-regime through their writing.
