Purpurascens, Ocimum gratissimum L., smell similarly, but the types are slightly different (Hussain, Anwar et al. 2008); The four plants had been considered by the people of the same species and the same function for a long time. However, the essential oils were different between the four plants (Patel, Singh et al. 2016). Sent the four kinds of plant crude extract spray and questionnaire assessment to aromatherapy experts to evaluate the fragrance and ease of mind on the points. Collected the points result to further statistical analysis and confirmed the proposed five-point hypothesis.

Green crude extracts showed that the same essential oil components. And the content were close. Through the expert evaluation results also believe that aroma ingredients of the two plants are almost the same. 碩士 / 中華大學 / 企業管理學系 / 106 / Aromatherapy is a type of adjuvant therapy for psychological intervention. It could be used for improving both physical and mental health. Its effects include releasing from melancholy, maintaining or improving self-esteem and the level of life satisfaction. Since 1993, Taiwan had become an ageing country. Health care had become more and more popular. This research was mainly focus on the development of essential oil business in Taiwan, the decision factors for aromatherapists of which products to use, and the major brands in the industry. Through interviewing with professional aromatherapists and the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), we learned the decision factors for them were more emphasizing on the relaxing effects on bodies than cheap price. The result of AHP was the following, pain relief 0.7848, price 0.1279, and the variety of aroma 0.0872. Comparing these decision factors with several brands mentioned in the interview with the professionals, the major choices were doTERRA 0.7223, Melaleuca 0.159, and Yiri Living 0.1245. Despite of the importance of price and the variety of aroma, the research showed pain relief was the major factor. Hopefully through this research, aromatherapists would be able to emphasize more on customers’ actual experiences of the products than lowering the price.
