Scent Writing Research of Wu He Works / 舞鶴作品的氣味書寫研究HSU, JUI-FENG, 許瑞峰 January 2018 (has links)
碩士 / 國立臺南大學 / 國語文學系中國文學碩士在職專班 / 107 / In the history of sense writing, there are few quality and quantity vocabularies and phrases about sense of smell. Sense of smell is often overlooked in life while experience of odor easily becomes personal and subjective, hard to induce resonance. Moreover, poorly developed vocabularies make it hard to express the true feeling. That’s why it’s been rare to find extraordinary works depicting scents to date. The good news is that knowledge of science has been popularizing over times, empowering people to explore the mystery of smelling. Moreover, modern people gradually attach to a balanced development among “body, mind, and spirit,” driving development on sensibility and sensitivity, then extending the experience to literature creation on topics and even phrases.
In recent times, Taiwan literature field has some development on writing about scents. But when it’s from an individual artist perspective, depictions on smelling experience are mostly confined within singular or few works of a writer, without being consistently infused in most of the works. Wu He is a special writer in modern Taiwan literature, with the strange and unappraisable wording style. His novels that emphasized depiction of senses and feelings, has many phrases of smells and scents, worth study.
This thesis has four parts: The first part is to introduce Wu He’s life, literature background, and conception of creation. The second is to discuss the relations among sense of smell, related to language and culture. The third is to summarize depiction of scents in Chinese literature including Chinese traditional literature, modern Chinese creation, and books of aromatherapy. The last is to sum up phrases of scents in Wu He’s works and to search for writing reference about smells and scents in Taiwan literature.
The thesis concludes with four points and suggestions: First, in traditional Chinese literature phrases related to scents are ignored; conceptual feeling is more important than literal descriptions. Secondly, more and more phrases of scents have emerged in modern Chinese creation, the books of aromatherapy also has quite distinctive imagination and description of scents. Thirdly, Wu He has a unique style to use phrases of scents, not only creating new phrase writing of scents but also proving the infinite possibility in writing about sense of smell. Fourth, building a corpus of smells will help develop a complete reference system of scent writing.

碩士 / 建國科技大學 / 美容科技研究所 / 106 / There are 18 branch campuses of the NAHA level one certification institution in Taiwan. In view of the unofficial system, there is still no enthusiasm for aromatherapists to apply for certification. There are few research topics on the impact of “Effect of NAHA Level One Certification in Aromatherapist’s Career Development”. This study refers to Super, RJHavighurst. , Hall, Amy Wrzesniewski's career development and work style theory combined with the results of non-structured interviews, self-edited "American NAHA preliminary aromatherapy license on the impact of Taiwan aromatherapist career development" questionnaire scale, since 2018/2~2018-4, a total of 401 valid samples were sampled.
Research result:
1.According to the results of the unstructured interviews, four scales and items were compiled as the main content of the questionnaire. The four scales are "the motivation for applying for the US NAHA initial aromatherapy license certification", "the results of the individual learning experience after receiving the NAHA aromatherapy license", and "the application of aromatherapy to the aromatherapist's life (self) Health promotion)", "The impact of the US NAHA initial aromatherapy license on the career development of aromatherapists."
2. Among the 401 people who answered the questionnaire, most of them were married women over 41 years old living in the north. They had university education and no professional license. If they were, most of them were beauty C-level licenses, serving the aromatherapist in the beauty spa industry. The salary is less than one year and the salary is 40,000 to 45,000.
3.The age of 31 to 35 years old than the age of 20 years of aromatherapy life application situation; 36 ~ 40 years old than the age of 20 years of aromatherapy life application situation; 41 years old and above than 20 years old aromatherapy life application situation is good. Married people are better than others; unmarried people are better than others; personal incomes of 40,001~45,000 are quite different.
4. The "application for certification motivation", "certification of learning outcomes feedback", and "aromatherapy life application situation" are positively and significantly related to "career development impact", and their regression analysis R2 is positive for career development. Explanatory power.
Suggest:
1. It is recommended that if the relevant industries can introduce the systemic professional knowledge curriculum training modules and standards strictly implemented by foreign officials with credibility and aromatherapy, give the aromatherapists a phased professional skills education training plan and appropriate promotion. The reward system is believed to enhance the "international" professional competence of the practitioners and the social image of the industry.
2. It is recommended that the government stipulate strict training standards for foreign aromatherapy practitioners, set the practice standards and industrial appraisal system such as the national examination, and incorporate the "aromatherapy" professional knowledge and skills curriculum training standards into technical and tertiary institutions. Formal curriculum education, and the establishment of mutual assistance and cooperation system with overseas international aromatherapy agencies, I believe that the long-term policy of government governance will also have a plus effect.
3.The school is recommended to refer to the US, NAHA aromatherapy course Level 1, 2, 3 teaching curriculum, planning to include formal education credits, emulate the foreign aromatherapy assessment process standards, combined with the industry teacher planning certification model, simulate the workplace situation experience in the school and A variety of aromatherapy life DIY and aroma seminars or competitions to assist students in aroma industry visits, off-campus internships and self-career exploration, allowing students to graduate = employment.
4. It is recommended that follow-up researchers who are interested in this topic can expand the researcher's parent group and invite the accreditation body to assist in long-term detailed observation and tracking, and more conclusions can be drawn on the impact of career development theme.

The Effect of Aromatherapy on Swallowing Functions in Aged Rats-A Preliminary Study / 芳香療法對健康老化吞嚥能力的影響-老鼠的初步研究KAO, JUI-CHU, 高瑞筑 January 2017 (has links)
碩士 / 國立臺北護理健康大學 / 語言治療與聽力研究所 / 105 / This study aims to examine the effects of aromatherapy on prebyphagia among aged rats as preliminary research subjects. All rats (N= 4) were male, 18 months old, and of Wistar species. The experimental group (n= 3) received aromatherapy for twice a day and an hour each time over 20 days. The rats received intramuscular Electromyography (EMG) and their food intake, water consumption and body weight were measured daily. Their brain stems were placed under histological analysis. The aromatherapy has used a mixture of four types of essential oils that is vaporised via an essential oil electronic diffuser. The result showed that the experimental group has a total number of c-fos in the nucleus of solitary tract (NTS), especially in the rostral part, greater than the control group. The intramuscular EMG reveals that, compared to pre-intervention, the experimental group post intervention demonstrated significantly larger maximum amplitude, average amplitude, and duration of maximum continuous contraction; the difference between pre- and post-intervention for average frequency of signaling was not significant. The control group reveals a different pattern whereby contraction was shorter post-intervention and all the other measures did not present significant differences. Food intake and body weight of the experimental group reduced while water intake did not change consistently and physical activity did not change significantly. Evidently, aromatherapy has an effect on the presbyphagia. However, the small sample size in this study warrants further investigation involving larger sample size.
