碩士 / 建國科技大學 / 自動化工程系暨機電光系統研究所 / 100 / ABSTRACT
This thesis applied Gray relational applications to test and verify the relationship between essential oil aromatherapy and hear beat rate variables’ impact factors. Thirteen healthy testers used three kinds of aromatherapies: lavender essential oil, bergamot oil, rosemary essential oil. The testers breathed in by tubes and combined with autonomic nervous energy analyzer to analyze the actual data. It explored the influence of essential oil aromatherapy to autonomic nerves and the main impact factors ranking of physical pressure removing. By means of Gray relational applications analysis, it is proved to facilitate the clinical interpretation of autonomic nervous energy analyzer.
The experimental results proved the main impact factors ranking of three kinds of essential oils to alleviate pressure aromatherapies in smoothing pressure is: PSI pressure index> HRT average heart beat rate> LF sympathetic nerve (low frequency)> HF parasympathetic nerve (high frequency). After using lavender essential oil, bergamot essential oil, rosemary essential oil, the heart beat rate variables vales indicates pressure index reduction and high frequency power increasing significantly. Clinical trials proved these three essential oil aromatherapies have the effects of smoothing, stability and relieving. They are also proved to stabilize hear beat rate and reduce pressure. It is expected to practice in practical environmental design in the future and provide great helps in a higher life quality.

Effect of Essential oil on EEGin the Environment of Hot Spring Bath / 溫泉場域與植物精油對人體腦波之影響Mei-Hui,Shih, 施美惠 January 2015 (has links)
碩士 / 嘉南藥理大學 / 觀光事業管理系 / 103 / Going to hot springs has become an important leisure activity of Taiwanese. Most people approve that it can relieve pressure and promote health, but there are few researches on its effects on the related physiological functions of individuals.
The essential oil is extracted from aromatic plants; aromatherapy is an alternative therapy that makes essential oils extracted from aromatic plants enter the body to function through skin or breath by way of massaging, bathing or scented products for the purpose of relieving mental pressure and getting well.
This research uses the experimental analysis method and statistically analyzes the data with SPSS 12.0 for Windows. The experimental subject uses rose essential oil and tea tree essential oil respectively when bathing in the hot spring. An electroencephalograph is used to measure the changes in the brain waves of the subject before and after the experiment to provide people with the type of essential oils for the bathing environemnt. It learns about and discusses the changes in the subject’s brain waves after bathing in the hot spring with rose essential oil and tea tree essential oil, and observes they produce synergism. In the first experiemnt, the brain waves of the subject are measured 9 minutes before and after he is in the hot spring; in the second experiemnt, the brain waves are measured after the subject sprayed with 0.15mL rose essential oil using the ultrasonic nebulizer is in the hot spring for 9 minutes; in the third experiment, they are measured after the subject sprayed with tea tree essential oil using the ultrasonic nebulizer is in the hot spring for 9 minutes; then, it discusses whether using essential oils in the hot spring can affect the brain waves based on the experimental results.
The experimental results show the essectial oils can really affect the brain waves during bathing in the hot spring; the rose essential oil used during bathing can make people feel relaxed and refreshed, but it can also increase energy depending on the property of brain waves; the tea tree essential oil used during bathing can make people feel uplifted and concentrated. This experimental research doesn’t consider the subject’s preference for essential oils, and the subject’s emotion and physical condition can also affect the brain waves. Spraying essential oils during bathing can realize physical relaxation and produce synergism, which can be used by people going to the hot spring to relieve pressure.

Apply AHP to Create the Criteria for the Ambiance Construction in a Dental Clinic / 運用層級分析法建構牙醫診所室內環境氛圍之準則Chiung-Wen Hsu, 許瓊文 January 2016 (has links)
碩士 / 樹德科技大學 / 經營管理研究所 / 104 / Aside from the excellent quality of health care offered by medical institutions, the ambience of medical space considerably influences patients mentally and physically. It make patients relaxed, pacify their bodies and souls, and release negative emotions. The interior design for the ambience of the dental clinic pertains to lighting, decoration, background music and aromatherapy atmosphere. Since the ambience of medical space has positive impact on the course of treatment, the so-called ambience construction is valued concerning the establishment of the dental clinic in the hope that the ambience construction can influence patients mentally and physically.
This study manipulates Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP)to create the criteria concerning the method to construct the ambience of the dental clinic. With respect to the analysis of literature review, the dentists’ professional advice, the feedback from the interview with other professional doctors, and the analysis of the hierarchy diagram with scoring items, the criteria for the ambience of the dental clinic break into four perspectives, including lighting, environmental planning, background music, and scent of clinic. The four main perspectives can further elaborate into four sub-dimensions, including lighting shape, color brightness, indirect lighting, traffic flow, interior color style, music style, volume control, aromatherapy essential oils and so on 14 check items. Through one on one interviews with doctors, this study projects the relative weight value at all levels of the hierarchy diagram. The weight value can indicate the standard for a high-quality medical environment in a dental clinic with the ambience construction.

Study on the effects of subtle energy to adult physiological changes according to EEG, meridian energy and physiological parameters / 以腦波、經絡能量及生理參數來探討微能量對成年人之影響Jui-Cheng Liu, 劉叡誠 January 1900 (has links)
碩士 / 南台科技大學 / 奈米科技研究所 / 99 / In recent years, in order to keep up with and improve the daily life in the fast development of the world, the human have to work and study hard day by day. This is the main reason which results in more pressure and diseases of civilization. According to references, to relieve emotional and stress, the human body and their spirit have to achieve self-relaxation that can bring in more benefits for the body, for instance the improvement of the human physiological parameters and energy values. In order to investigate and observe these changes of subtle energy inside the human body, we design three kinds of experiments with using three different types of non-intrusive detection equipments including " EEG2000 (electroencephalogram)", "M.E.A.D, ME-10 (Meridian energy analyzer device)", and " physiological parameters monitor MD-850". After obtaining the experimental results, we used SPSS software by pired-samples T test method to observe whether it is significant differences in physiological parameters.
In the first experiment, we used incense smelling therapy to study its effects on brain and meridian energy of adults. this therapy seems to be similar to the essential oil and aromatherapy treatment. In this method, adults will smell three types of functional incenses provided by manufacturers: mei-yuan incense, mei-ren incense, and da-dan incense and another general incense for comparison. Then, we got the data of subjects in two ways: before and after incense smelling to analyze and compare. Through the results, we confirm that the EEG and meridian energy data in the case of smelling the three functional incenses got better results than that of smelling the general incense. Moreover, the experimental results from smelling the three types of functional incenses showed significant increase (p <.05). In addition, the results also affirm that the α wave increases when eyes-closed in the case of smelling three types of special incenses. In the general incense case, there is converse trend of α wave. It decrease. Thus, it is expected that the functional incenses can help the human body relax and increase the overall brain waves. In addition, the meridian energy also improves significant under impact of the three functional incenses (p <.05).
In the second experiment, we observed the alternation of brain waves under effect of three sections of yana breathing. From the results, when we compared the α wave of closed-eye, meditation without breathing with that of three sections of yana breathing, we realize that the α wave decreases. This result also showed similar trend to other studies when the subjects were trance state, α wave was suppressed but this trend level didn’t achieve significant differences (p> .05). On the other hand, we get the results from three states: opened-eye, closed-eye, meditated, all without yana breathing and compare them with the results from three states: opened-eye, closed-eye, meditatied, all have yana breathing. These comparisons show that β and α wave increase. Especially, in the state of opened- eye, all four brain waves increase. However, there are no significant difference in these comparisons (p > .05).
In the final issue that we want to discuss is whether or not the brain waves, the physiologic parameters and the mood status change after active meditation courses. After obtaining the experimental results with two stages: before and after active meditation courses, we clearly realize all the brain wave of 16-people after active meditation courses is smaller than that before the active meditation courses. This difference is only significant for the β wave of the right side brain of participants (p <.05). For the physiological monitoring parameters, the average of oxygen saturation increases and has significant difference (p <.05). In this study, we used the pressure emotion scales with three index : the overall membership depression, anxiety and stress. The results showed a decrease and a significant difference in three index (p <.05). In the characteristics of emotional scale, acceptance of happiness index increases, while the two other index, sad & fear and anger & disgust decrease. All of these differences are significant (p <.05). These changes of three above index result in the total emotion increases and this is good result for the participant members. In general, all the members after the active meditation courses showed good appearance with decrease of tension and pressure, increase of blood oxygen and relaxation.

The study of aromatherapy by using sevenchakra essential oils on heart rate variability / 七輪芳香療法於心率變異分析之研究CHU-CHEN,LO, 羅菊貞 January 2014 (has links)
碩士 / 建國科技大學 / 美容科技研究所 / 102 / Stress is a natural response of disturbing the balance of physical and mental change arising. When our perception and expectations do not match, or when we cannot control our feeling of disappointment, pressure appears. In this study, there are seven energy centers in the human body. We can activate our cells, enhance both immunity system and self-healing autologous ability by adapting plant essential oil and then, relieve pressure.
The study analyzes the physiological effects of autonomic nervous system by applying seven-chakra essential oils. The pressure index (PSI) of 56 female volunteers is beyond 50. In the experimental group, each essential oil has quantified 0.1 ml, whereas the controlled group, water has quantified 0.1 ml. Through inhalation, the effect of reducing PSI is the most obvious by using the heart chakra essential oil – the mean heart rate (Mean HRT), pressure index (PSI) and low frequency (LF) are significantly reduced, but the high-frequency (HF), normal heartbeat interval standard deviation (SDNN) are significantly increased. Direct inhalation of chakra essential oils may activate the physiological activity of the heart rate variability. This analysis can be used as a reference in aromatherapy application
