Orientador: Auro Aparecido Mendes / Banca: Paulo Roberto Joia / Banca: Pierre Alves costa / Banca: Samuel Frederico / Banca: Silvia Aparecida Guarnieri Ortigosa / Resumo: A atividade industrial, especialmente no setor automotivo, a partir da década de 1970, passou a apresentar desintegração vertical da produção, que pode ser feita por meio de relações interindustriais - linkages - esses consistem nas conexões de insumo-produto entre as indústrias, são oriundos da externalização de etapas produtivas, por meio de processos de subcontratação de outras fábricas ou de trabalhadores, expandindo a produção. Além disso, as unidades produtivas contratam serviços, desde atividades mais comuns, tais como: segurança, limpeza, alimentação, por exemplo, até serviços mais sofisticados, quais sejam: marketing, design, informática, etc. Tais serviços envolvem uma gama de atividades que podem ser intensivas em capitais, tecnologias e mão de obra altamente especializada. Para operar na economia global, as indústrias tiveram que se tornar principalmente mais "flexíveis". Dessa forma, fica evidente que há circuitos espaciais da produção desde a extração da matéria-prima até os serviços pós-venda, em nível local, nacional e global. Ademais, existem círculos de cooperação entre empresas, indústrias, fornecedores e clientes, havendo interação entre os agentes e, quanto maior for a troca de informações ou conhecimentos, maior será a vantagem competitiva de uma unidade produtiva, em um processo de divisão do trabalho e da produção. (Resumo completo, clicar acesso eletrônico abaixo) / Abstract: The industry, mainly the automotive manufacturing, since 1970, has revealed vertical disintegration of production, it may be done through linkages, they connect input and output among the factories, from the externalization of productive stages, by means of subcontracting processes both another firms and employees, expanding the production. Furthermore, the productive units have hired service businesses, from simple activities, such as: security, cleaning, feeding, for instance, to sophisticated ones, which are: marketing, design, computer, etc. These service businesses involve a group of activities that can be intensive in capital, technology and highly specialized labour force. To operate in global economy, industries have been especially more flexible. In this way, surely, there are spatial circuits of production since raw material extraction until after sales service businesses, in local, national and global levels. Besides, there are cooperation circles among companies, factories and customers and how much more is the exchange of information or knowledge, the competitive advantage of a productive unit will be higher, in a production and labour division process. This process reflects the current phase global of territorial expansion of the capitalist relations, with accented transformation of the innovations social techniques and of production and of the organization modes standards of the local space. The insertion of the Economic Group in a new territory obeys a new organization mode dynamics and of relations where the place also if detaches, constructing strategical agreements that provoke significant changes in the relations between Group and territory. The thematic central office of this work is to understand and to analyze the relation between the sector (automobile - Grupo Renault) and the territory (AMC - Agglomerated Metropolitan of Curitiba), its construction dynamic and crumbling dynamic. A new dynamics of industrial centerless and permanence of the sectors in the place has been broken of the central hypothesis of that the global processes that characterize a new economic phase reflect in the relation between the Economic Groups and the territory, imposing. From this idea it was analyzed influence of the global processes in the organization of the industries, as well as the relations that if process between the Economic Group and the territory, having itself in sight the local dynamics of the auto industries and the competitiveness between the places. Nova geografia econômica, salários e migração : três ensaios aplicados ao BrasilPelizza, Cristian Rafael January 2015 (has links)
O presente trabalho busca observar aspectos associados à Nova Geografia Econômica, aplicados ao Brasil através de três ensaios. No primeiro, intitulado “O impacto do mercado potencial sobre os salários nos estados brasileiros, de 2001 a 2009”, estimou-se através de dados em painel em três métodos, painel com efeitos fixos, a metodologia de Hausman-Taylor e o um painel dinâmico utilizando o estimador de Arellano e Bond (1991), um modelo semi-estrutural derivado de Krugman (1991), onde se observou o equilíbrio de curto prazo de um modelo centro-periferia aplicado ao Brasil. Em todos os casos, o mercado potencial, variável diretamente relacionada aos fatores chave da Nova Geografia Econômica, sendo que se podem destacar os ganhos de escala da aglomeração e os custos de comércio, apresentaram impacto positivo sobre os salários regionais. O segundo ensaio, cujo título é “Migração e mercado potencial: uma análise para os estados brasileiros de 2001 a 2009”, observou através da fundamentação teórica de Tabuchi e Thisse (2002), uma aplicação utilizando dados em painel do modelo de Crozet (2004), em que o mercado potencial dos estados afeta o fluxo de migração entre os mesmos. Nesse caso, embora o efeito do mercado potencial tenha apresentado resultado de acordo com a literatura, observou-se um papel importante dos fatores não observáveis, que podem ser associados às amenidades e a heterogeneidade individual no que concerne a escolha sobre migrar, sobre o fluxo migratório mencionado. Por fim, o terceiro ensaio, que se intitula “Decomposição em componentes não observáveis e a dinâmica salarial em regiões metropolitanas brasileiras”, observa os padrões de tendência, ciclo e sazonalidade para seis regiões metropolitanas brasileiras, para o período 2002-2014, utilizando uma estimação com filtro de Kalman. Através da metodologia empregada, pode-se afirmar que a dinâmica dos salários regionais difere em todos os aspectos citados e também em termos de ajuste do modelo. / This study aims to observe aspects of the New Economic Geography, applied to Brazil through three essay. In the first, entitled "The impact of the potential market on wages in the Brazilian states, 2001-2009", was estimated by panel data in three methods, panel fixed effects, the Hausman-Taylor methodology and a dynamic panel using the estimator of Arellano and Bond (1991), a semi-structural model derived from Krugman (1991), which also produced the short-run equilibrium of a core-periphery model applied to Brazil. In all cases, the market potential variable directly related to the key factors of the New Economic Geography, and can highlight the scale economies of agglomeration and trade costs, had a positive impact on regional wages. The second essay, entitled "Migration and potential market: an analysis for the Brazilian states from 2001 to 2009," noted with theoretical basis of Tabuchi and Thisse (2002), an application using panel data model of the Crozet (2004 ), wherein the potential market conditions affecting the migration flow therebetween. In this case, although the effect of the potential market has shown a result according to the literature, there is an important role for unobservable factors that may be associated with features and individual heterogeneity as regards the choice of migrating on migration flow mentioned. Finally, the third test, which is entitled "Decomposition on unobservable components and wage dynamics in Brazilian metropolitan areas," notes the patterns of trend, cycle and seasonality for six urban areas for the period 2002-2014, using a estimation with Kalman filter. Through the methodology used, it can be said that the dynamics of regional wage differs in all the above aspects and also in terms of model fit.

Piratbekämpning vid Afrikas horn / Combating piracy off the Horn of AfricaSchieber, Jacob January 2018 (has links)
Denna rapport syftar till att ta reda på hur handelssjöfarten drabbats ekonomiskt och humanitärt av piratverksamheten utanför Afrikas Horn, vilka insatser och åtgärder som vidtagits i bekämpandet av piraterna och hur utfallet av dessa åtgärder varit samt även ge en inblick i bakgrunden till varför piratverksamheten uppstått just i detta område. Genom litteraturstudier och genom att jämföra och sammanställa data från olika rapporter från tidsintervallet 2010-2016 visas utvecklingen för de ekonomiska och humanitära konsekvenserna av piratattackerna. Bilden som framkommer är att antalet piratattacker i området minskat mycket kraftigt sedan 2010 och att de olika åtgärder som vidtagits således gett god effekt. Det framkommer dock att de flesta insatserna och åtgärderna främst varit av repressiv typ och mindre av förebyggande typ och att det krävs mer av den senare typen för att förhindra att piratattackerna tar fart igen.
