[en] COUNTERTRANSFERENCE AND AUTO-ANANLYSIS: IS IT A POSSIBLE ARTICULATION? / [pt] CONTRATRANSFERÊNCIA E AUTO-ANÁLISE: UMA ARTICULAÇÃO POSSÍVEL?

CAMILA ANDRADE DRUBSCKY 11 August 2003 (has links)
[en] From the introduction by Freud of the notion of countertransference, a prospect of the developed contributions is presented by some relevant authors. The differences encountered about this notion are many, as well as its implications in the clinic. We examine in which way the concept of countertransference could be articulated to the auto-analysis idea. In such a way, we search in the history of psychoanalysis to trace Freud s experience, as well as selecting the relation that have been established with his friend Fliess at the time when it is absolutely associated with the auto-analysis idea. From that, it is important to position the limits as well as the efectiveness and the value that can be attributed to the autoanalysis activity. We conclude that the auto-analysis can be considered a useful tool for the analyst to examine countertransference and, therefore, it is an auxiliary tool that suports the position of the analyst.

[en] COUNTERTRANSFERENCE AND FAMILY SECRETS: THE TRERAPIST BETWEEN MANIFEST AND LATENT / [pt] CONTRATRANSFERÊNCIA E SEGREDOS DE FAMÍLIA: O TERAPEUTA ENTRE O MANIFESTO E O LATENTE

CIDIANE VAZ MELO 09 February 2017 (has links)
[en] Based on the clinical practice with families, it was observed that certain secrets assume a fundamental function, entangling the family members in unconscious alliances and denegative pacts. Such a situation favors the emergence, within the family, of primitive angsts and fantasies related to their effects, their maintenance and possible discovery. These questions become particularly pertinent in clinical encounters, not only because of the psychodynamic involved, but also because family secrets resonate in the therapist, as well as in the therapeutic process overall. In regards to the countertransference, the therapist can be faced with diverse sensations, such as headache, numbing, anxiety, and confusion. He might also experience embarrassment when dealing with certain themes, as if he had lost his ability to think and establish connections among mental contents. He might be disturbed by these contents, and sometimes forced to establish agreements with some family members in detriment to other members. In contrast to these experiences, we also observe a detective-like curiosity emerging in the therapist when in contact with these families, which may compromise both the therapeutic relationship and the treatment itself. Given the difficulties involved in these situations, one may ask: how can the therapist understand these counter-transferencial phenomena mobilized in situations that involve family secrets, and how can he use them in the benefit of treatment? Aiming at answering these questions, a literature review on the counter-transference concept was conducted, from the first conceptualizations of this clinical phenomenon established by Freud (1910), Melaine Klein (1946), Paula Heimann (1950; 1969) and Racker (1948) to the notions of family counter-transference (Eiguer, 1995) and mythical counter-transference (Losso, 2001). Later, it was approached the psychoanalytical literature regarding family secrets, differentiating the types of secrets that are fundamental, those that constitute the psyche and the capacity to think autonomously from those that are experienced as angst, shame and/or humiliation. Finally, we attempted to articulate counter-transference and family secrets to the considerations regarding the techniques involved in treating these clinical situations.

Supervisão psicanalítica : abordagem da contratransferência / Psychoanalytic Supervision : approaching countertransference

Zaslavsky, Jacó January 2003 (has links)
A recent examination of the literature on countertransference and its developments reveals its clinical usefulness in different psychoanalytic cultures. However, there are few publications regarding its approach in supervision. The aim of this study was to examine the concepts of transference and countertransference and how countertransference is approached in supervision, in candidate training, at a psychoanalytic institute belonging to a society affiliated to the International Psychoanalytical Association (IPA). A qualitative study was performed interviewing supervisors and supervisees. By analyzing the content, the data were transformed into initial, intermediate and final categories: the concepts of transference and countertransference; psychoanalytic listening and the complementariness of the phenomena and the approach to countertransference. The concepts of transference and countertransference predominantly used by the interviewees are based on the totalistic view. The approach to countertransference in supervision has been performed more directly and objectively when compared with a previous period, although great care is taken to delimit the boundaries between supervision and personal analysis. The main purpose is to broaden the understanding and deepen the patient-oriented interpretations. These findings suggest that the evolution of the concept of countertransference in different psychoanalytic cultures and developments in the analytic field have contributed to this change.
