The work deals with communication options, the power line and particularly the use of this technology in home automation to control heating and reduction in standby mode for selected domestic appliances. The issue is outlined in detail first and then examined in detail. The publication outlines a possible variant of such a device that can detect movement in the house and on the basis of such information to adjust the energy profile. The device is from its base designed to minimize the consumption of heat and electricity.

This master’s thesis is focused on design and realisation of special security system for space and property protection. System is devided into two parts, transmitting and receiving. Transmitting part is formed by Raspberry Pi Model B+, motion sensor, webcam and USB LTE modem Huawei E398. Receiving part consists of computer with suitable application for communication with FTP server. Data transfer in mobile systems is described in the first part of this thesis, transmitting part is designed in the second part. There is one transmitting option chosen in the third part and there are also described applications of the transmitting part. The last part of this thesis is focused on the receiving part and its application.

The aim of master thesis is implementation of USB host in a microcontroller PIC. The thesis contains description of ways of peripherals to computer connections with detailed description of USB bus. There are also discussed several approaches in implementations USB host for embedded systems. A concept of layered USB host system is designed on the basis of analysis of the state of the art. Finally, the designed system is implemented in microcontroller. Resulting firmware of development kit is tested on real USB device.

This thesis is about the monitoring of testing station downtimes at the DS/ETC (Diesel Systems / Engineering Testing Center) Bosh Diesel s.r.o. department in Jihlava. The goal of the monitoring is to get a record and an immediate warning for each machine downtime. The testing engineers are able to edit downtime reports and to create statistics and the Pareto analysis based on the reports. In the beginning of the thesis there are generally described the ETC department and the SCADA system. The monitoring system is designed and implemented based on the requirements of the ETC department. SMS messages sent via a GSM module what is connected directly to the server are used for immediate downtime warning. The test engineers have the graphic user interface what they can use to edit downtime reports. Statistics are generated individually based on the adjustable data filter. The department can focus primary on the finding out the reasons of the downtimes what leads to the biggest reduction of the test machine downtimes.

The last Supper Jesus had with his disciples on the night before he died on the cross is the foundation of a major liturgical celebration in the Catholic Church called 'the Eucharist'. One of the major designations of the Eucharist is that it is a sacrifice. The starting point of this work is that the sacrificial character of the Eucharist is not as meaningful and relevant for Xhosa people as it should be. The way forward is to study the Eucharistic and Xhosa sacrifices, compare them and suggest ways of rendering the Eucharistic sacrifice meaningful and relevant to Xhosa the people. Although not conclusive, the New Testament gives a strong foundation for the sacrificial understanding of the Eucharist. The Eucharist, as interpreted through the Last Supper accounts, covers all the conventional intentions of sacrifice, i.e. propitiation, communion, thanksgiving and mutual responsibility. The Fathers of the Church affirm the sacrificial character of the Eucharist with varying emphases, but taken together, their understanding shows development of thought and complementarity of themes. In the Middle Ages the most pronounced intention of the . Eucharistic sacrifice is propitiation and post Tridentine theological reflection is informed by this mentality. According to modem and contemporary thought, Christ's death on the cross, which is sacrarnentally represented in the Eucharist, is not an act performed on our behalf to appease an angry God but God's act of love towards us. The emphasis is on self-offering to God as exemplified by Christ. The Xhosa people still have regard for sacrificial rituals, but modernity has modified and sometimes changed their understanding and practice of sacrifice. The principle of God's universal salvific will and the doctrine of incarnation provide theological grounds for inculturating the Eucharist. Thus the inclusion of ancestors and use of cultural symbols in the celebration of the Eucharist may render it meaningful to Xhosa people. Relating the Eucharist to Xhosa culture will revitalise the communion element in Eucharistic sacrifice, which element has been lost sight of through the centuries.
