Dynamický částicový systém jako účinný nástroj pro statistické vzorkování / A dynamical particle system as a driver for optimal statistical sampling

Mašek, Jan Unknown Date (has links)
The presented doctoral thesis aims at development a new efficient tool for optimization of uniformity of point samples. One of use-cases of these point sets is the usage as optimized sets of integration points in statistical analyses of computer models using Monte Carlo type integration. It is well known that the pursuit of uniformly distributed sets of integration points is the only possible way of decreasing the error of estimation of an integral over an unknown function. The tasks of the work concern a survey of currently used criteria for evaluation and/or optimization of uniformity of point sets. A critical evaluation of their properties is presented, leading to suggestions towards improvements in spatial and statistical uniformity of resulting samples. A refined variant of the general formulation of the phi optimization criterion has been derived by incorporating the periodically repeated design domain along with a scale-independent behavior of the criterion. Based on a notion of a physical analogy between a set of sampling points and a dynamical system of mutually repelling particles, a hyper-dimensional N-body system has been selected to be the driver of the developed optimization tool. Because the simulation of such a dynamical system is known to be a computationally intensive task, an efficient solution using the massively parallel GPGPU platform Nvidia CUDA has been developed. An intensive study of properties of this complex architecture turned out as necessary to fully exploit the possible solution speedup.

Urbanistické řešení areálu Výstaviště Brno / Urban design Výstaviště Brno

Mainclová, Kateřina January 2014 (has links)
Urban study thesis deals with the more efficient utilization of the Brno Exhibition Centre in the longer term. The natural boundaries of the area in the alluvial plain formed on the northeast Hlinky street and Žlutý kopec, from the south-west street Bauer then head along the river Svratka. Thanks to its location near the city center and direct connection to the Prague highway is an important area ideal for design features of national importance. The aim is to open area all year round to the public and offer a diverse year-round and daily functional use. The effort is in place to attract as many people who will want to return. The original idea is to complete the entire structure of the new buildings in the western part of the terms of the original urban concept axes going from Pavilion A. The territory is divided into four functional zones - exhibitions, sport and recreation , work, education and culture. Additional functions of housing and facilities for the needs of the exhibition as well as other companies. In terms of transport, emphasis is put on pedestrians, cyclists and calmed character of motorized traffic. The area intersects several hiking trails connecting the Hlinky street and Bauerova street.

Obchodní dům "Centrum" v Brně / "Centrum" Department Store in Brno

Ledvinková, Šárka January 2014 (has links)
The architectural design of the reconstruction of Centrum department store is trying to establish a link to Tomáš Baťa by the phenomenon of high-rise buildings, and architectural design. The renovated part is trying to re-establish the original appearance and dispositions. New high-rise portion of the building are leveraging current architectural trends continue the functionalist Karfíks ideas. The aim was to carefully distinguish between the new and the original part of the building for the present pleasant correspondence with the surrounding historicist facades. This was mostly achieved through inclined and curved shapes with which functionalism rarely worked. Operation in new part is provided by a vertical communication tube, whose facade is composed of a vertical garden, which should contribute to the improvement of living conditions in densely built-up city center. The building is located in the center of city there are high demands for its multipurpose use. Shops, services and catering operations are situated in the lower part of the building. In successive floors is office space, and then on the top floor there are duplex apartments. Automatic stacker parking for residents is placed under the communication tube.

Uvođenje novih upravljačkih mjera u zaštićenim područjima sa ciljem unapređenja modela zaštite prirode u Crnoj Gori / The introduction of new management measures in protected areas with the aim of enhancing improving models of nature protection of Montenegro

Luburić Veselin 27 September 2016 (has links)
Primarna funkcija u svim tim procesima mora biti za&scaron;tita prirodnih elemenata, stani&scaron;ta, vrsta i habitata.</p> / <p>The need for an organized protection&nbsp; and management of protected natural areas&nbsp; emerged in the late XIX century. it coincides with the establishment of the first national park in the world, Yellowstone, USA. Areas of Durmitor, Lovcen and Biogradska Gora were formally declared national parks in 1952.Skadar Lake became protected area in1983, while the youngest national park Prokletije was declared in 2009. The youngest protected area in Montenegro is the Regional Park Piva. The fact that according to theConstitution Montenegro was declared the world&#39;s first ecological state, obliges all parties at local, regional and state level to actively engage in a process of organized management and protection of natural areas, as well as to work on improvementand sustainable usage of their resources. Primary function in all those processes&nbsp; should be the protection of natural elements, species and habitats.</p>
