Adult Romantic Attachment Style, Global Self-Esteem, and Specific Self-Views as Predictors of Feedback Preference in Potential Romantic RelationshipsLin, Crystal Chi-Sheng 01 May 2006 (has links)
This study examined how adult romantic attachment (anxiety and avoidance dimensions), global self-esteem, and social and academic self-views relate to one another and how well they predict preference for a specific feedback type (enhancing, verifying, or no feedback) from a potential romantic partner in times of distress. It also investigated the relation between the type of feedback one receives and attraction to the partner who gives that type of feedback. Multiple regression analyses supported some predicted relations between romantic attachment and feedback preference. Neither global self-esteem nor social and academic self-views predicted preference for a particular feedback type, nor did social self-views moderate the relation between attachment and feedback preference. Although global self-esteem was found to moderate the relation between attachment style and feedback preference, the moderation effects were not in the predicted directions. However, academic self-views were found to moderate the relation between attachment and feedback preference. In addition, anxious and avoidant attachment related negatively to global self-esteem, social self-views, and academic self-view. Global self-esteem related positively to both social and academic self-views. Receiving one's preferred feedback predicted attraction to the potential romantic partner who gave that type of feedback. Limitations of the study and direction for future research are discussed.

Graph databases appear naturally in various scenarios, such as social networks and the semantic Web. In these cases, the information contained in the database lies as much in the data itself as in the topology of the graph, that is, in how the data points are linked together. This leads to considering traditional database theory questions for query languages that return data nodes based on the paths of the graph connecting them. We focus our attention on the view-based query determinacy and rewriting problems. They ask the question whether a view of the database contains enough information to fully answer a query without accessing the database directly. If so, we then want to express the answer to the query directly with regards to the view. This setting occurs in many applications, such as data integration and query optimization. We start by comparing these two tasks to other common task in this setting: computing certain answers, checking consistency of a view instance and updating it. We then build on these results in two specific cases. First, we show that for regular path queries, the existence of a monotone rewriting coincides with the existence of a rewriting expressible in Datalog. Then, we show that for views that only consider the lengths of the path in the graph, we can decide a weaker form of determinacy, called asymptotic determinacy, and produce first-order rewritings for the queries that are asymptotically determined.

Consumers' views towards electronic payment tools : users' comparison between Alipay in China and Swish in SwedenQiu, Zizhou, Shi, Yuan, Zheng, Ye January 2019 (has links)
In order to achieve a cashless society, many countries have started to use electronic payment methods and tools to replace traditional payment methods. China and Sweden already have mature electronic payment tools, Swish, and Alipay. In this research, a phenomenological approach was used to interview users comparing two electronic payment tools, the Chinese Alipay and the Swedish Swish. The analysis of the respondents’ answers shows that convenience, security, and cost of electronic payment tools are the most important aspects to them, which is in line with previous research on acceptance, adoption and use of new technology, not only electronic payment tools. Convenience and security were more important. However, too much convenience will affect the interviewees' trust in electronic payment tools because it will make interviewees feel unsafe. Respondents' trust is affected by their own acquaintance; they trust electronic payment tools they know better.

Physiotherapists views on and experiences from working with patients with pregnancy-related pelvic girdle pain.Luckmeier, Johanna, Leander, Viktoria January 2022 (has links)
Background: Pregnancy-related pelvic girdle pain is common among women during and after pregnancy. This affects women negatively both physically and mentally. Physiotherapy is an important and significant form of treatment for this condition, but the evidence regarding physiotherapeutic interventions is not fully clarified and more research is needed. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to describe physiotherapist’s views on and experiences from physiotherapeutic interventions for patients with pregnancy-related pelvic girdle pain. Method: The study was a qualitative interview study based on six semi-structured interviews. The informants were physiotherapists who worked with women who have pregnancy-related pelvic girdle pain. A convenience selection sampling was applied when recruiting informants. The data were analyzed through using a qualitative content analysis. Results: Four categories and twelve subcategories were identified in the analysis process. The four categories were: A rewarding and challenging work where the encounter with the patient is of great importance, Examination methodology varies between the physiotherapists, Physiotherapists views and experience of treatment variesvaries, and Physiotherapy is an important and significant area of work with great need of development., with a total of twelve subcategories. Conclusion: Physiotherapists who work with pregnancy-related pelvic girdle pain are important and make a big difference. It emerged that there is a great need for development in the area to be able to improve and make the care more effective. Further research is therefore needed to enable development and fill existing knowledge gaps.
