[pt] A dissertação trata da idéia de gênio desenvolvida por Nietzsche e sua relação com a tradição filosófica - principalmente Kant, o Romantismo alemão e Schopenhauer. Mostramos como Nietzsche modifica o conceito cunhado pela tradição e inova sua significação. A idéia de gênio em Nietzsche pode ser compreendida em dois momentos. O primeiro é o que aparece no livro O Nascimento da Tragédia, onde o gênio possui um caráter sobre-humano capaz de revelar uma verdade fundamental, por meio da arte. No segundo momento arte e vida não mais se diferenciam. Nietzsche aproximará tal noção de gênio à vida, se afastando da concepção forjada pela dita tradição filosófica, onde o conceito de gênio designa um talento inato, e nada pode ser feito para despertar este talento. Procuramos mostrar que Nietzsche parece falar antes da dificuldade da formação de um indivíduo autêntico do que da impossibilidade total desta tarefa, visto que, a partir da constatação da não essencialidade dos valores, certos homens podem criar e também se tornar gênios. Nietzsche parece propor um certo ensinamento de como se tornar um indivíduo autêntico, capaz de criar seus próprios valores e afirmar a vida, apesar de toda sua falta de sentido. Assim, o ensinamento é paralelo ao desenvolvimento de suas reflexões sobre o gênio, que tem na capacidade criativa sua principal característica. / [en] This dissertation is about the idea of genius developed by Nietzsche in its relation to Kant, German Romantism and Schopenhauer. These show how Nietzsche modifies the concept shaped by tradition and innovates the current signification. The idea of genius in Nietzsche may be understood in two moments. The first one appears in The Birth of Tragedy, where the genius had an extra-human character that can reveal a fundamental truth by art. In the second moment Nietzsche shows the similiarities between art and life. Nietzsche approximated the notion of genius with the notion of life. He takes distance of the conception shaped by philosophical tradition, where the concept of genius means an innate talent and nothing can make this talent appear. We tried to show that Nietzsche speaks about the difficulty for the development of an authentic individual, instead of the impossibility of this task. After the evidence that the values don t have any essence in itself, some individuals can create and become genius. Nietzsche seems to propose a certainly education to be an authentic individual, able to create his own values and enhance life, although its non-sense. Therefore, this education is parallel of the development of his reflections about genius, who have in creative capacity his major characteristic.

[pt] A dissertação busca evidenciar a potência criativa da infância num conjunto heterogêneo de criações artísticas contemporâneas. Pretende-se revelar zonas de vizinhança entre criação artística e ideias distintas de infância a partir de reflexões sobre jogo, brincadeira, questionamento, enumeração e fabulação. O eixo para esta análise é a convocação da infância de forma direta e indireta em um corpus selecionado de obras, com ênfase em torções semânticas, subversão de ideias pré-estabelecidas, jogos de palavras e enunciados. O objetivo é identificar a infância como procedimento de criação em trabalhos dos artistas Rivane Neuenschwander, Lenora de Barros, Nazareno e Javier Naranjo, entre outros, tendo por base o pensamento de autores como D. W. Winnicott, Giorgio Agamben, Roger Caillois e Walter Benjamin. Tais trechos e obras guardam reminiscências de um imaginário infantil em sua forma de composição. A infância — essa época ou lugar — vem sendo precocemente perdida na sociedade contemporânea, com sua lógica de consumo e utilitarismo. Diante dessa realidade, pretende-se jogar luz sobre o impacto das infâncias no pensamento e na liberdade criativa do ser humano. / [en] The dissertation aims to highlight the creative potential of childhood within a heterogeneous set of contemporary artistic creations. It intends to reveal zones of proximity between artistic creations and distinct ideas of childhood through reflections on play, questioning, enumeration, and fabulation. The axis for this analysis is the direct and indirect invocation of childhood in a selected corpus of works, with an emphasis on semantic twists, subversion of preconceived ideas, wordplay, and statements. The goal is to identify childhood as a creative procedure in the works of artists such as Rivane Neuenschwander, Lenora de Barros, Nazareno, and Javier Naranjo, among others, based on the thoughts of authors like D. W. Winnicott, Giorgio Agamben, Roger Caillois, and Walter Benjamin. These excerpts and works retain reminiscences of a child s imaginary in their form of composition. Childhood — this era or place — has been prematurely lost in contemporary society, with its logic of consumption and utilitarianism. Given this context, we intend to shed light on the impact of childhoods on human thought and creative freedom.

[pt] A pesquisa de mestrado intitulada Fazendo a América investiga, de forma teórica e ficcional, o potencial criativo que o exílio enquanto instância subjetiva - não apenas geográfica - desperta no indivíduo. A dissertação entretece discussão teórica à escrita de autoficção, com a apresentação de uma novela sobre uma família com quatro gerações de imigrantes e suas histórias. O formato ficcional permite pensar o exílio, sua potência e seus desdobramentos através da própria escrita, e explorar a sensação de identidade fragmentária e de alteridade geradas tanto pelo exílio geográfico como por diferentes exílios interiores e sociais patentes na contemporaneidade - entre eles o do escritor, que trafega entre o mundo real e o do papel. Partindo da visão flusseriana do exilado não como vítima, mas como vanguarda, Fazendo a América joga luz sobre a ideia de libertação vertiginosa (FLUSSER, 2007) que a força desestabilizadora (SAID, 2006) do exílio carrega, e conclui que as fendas subjetivas abertas pelo exílio são também espaços de potência e fertilidade para a criação artística. / [en] The master s research entitled Making America investigates, in a theoretical and fictional way, the creative potential that the exile as a subjective instance - not just as a geographic one - awakens in the individual. The dissertation intertwines theoretical discussion with the writing of self-fiction, with the presentation of a novel about a family with four generations of immigrants and their stories. The fictional format allows one to think of exile, its power and its unfolding through writing itself, and to explore the sense of fragmentary identity and alterity generated both by geographical exile and by different inner and social exiles evident in contemporaneity - among them that of the writer, who travels between the real and the paper worlds. Making America emphasizes the idea of vertiginous liberation (FLUSSER, 2007) that the destabilizing force (SAID, 2006) of the exile carries with it, and concludes that the subjective gaps opened by exile are also spaces of power and fertility for artistic creation.
