[pt] O objetivo geral da tese é fazer uma história da filosofia do pensamento inicial de Hans Jonas. O seu objetivo específico é investigar, na gênese do pensamento jonasiano, os ambientes que chamamos (Anti)messianismo, Antifascismo e Existencialismo. Certos aspectos destes três ambientes se assemelham à metáfora homérica do Canto das Sereias: eles apontam para a disseminação de narrativas dogmáticas que corrompem perigosamente o ambiente político. Com inspiração na estratégia platônica do Sofista, tentaremos entrincheirar tais cantos, demarcando assim a atitude filosófica primeira de Hans Jonas: desde seu antimessianismo, seu antifascismo e o seu existencialismo. Nossa estratégia é também apresentar um conjunto de hipóteses e evidências – fundamentadas na pesquisa de documentos inéditos do Hans Jonas Archiv, da Konstanz Universität – que validem a pertença intelectual de Hans Jonas aos ambientes acima aventados. Eles apontam também, a nosso ver, importantes desdobramentos ulteriores na filosofia de Hans Jonas. / [en] The general objective of the thesis is to make a history of Hans Jonas philosophy of initial thought. Its specific objective is to investigate, in the genesis of Jonasian thought, the environments we call (Anti) messianism, anti-fascism and existentialism. Certain aspects of these three environments resemble the Homeric metaphor of Sirens Song: they point to the spread of dogmatic narratives that dangerously corrupt the political environment. Inspired by the Sophist s Platonic strategy, we will try to entrench such corners, thus demarcating the first philosophical attitude of Hans Jonas from his anti-Messianism, his anti-fascism and his existentialism. Our strategy is to present a set of hypotheses and evidence – based on the research of unpublished documents by Hans Jonas Archiv, from Konstanz Universität – that validate the intellectual belonging of Hans Jonas to the above mentioned environments. They also point, in our view, to important further developments in Jonasian philosophy.

[pt] Este trabalho pretende refletir sobre a questão moral em O Ser e o Nada, propondo uma análise dos pressupostos teóricos que permitiriam ou não uma moral existencialista. Para isto, ocupa-se especialmente com a questão da ambiguidade humana, tratada por Sartre na análise do problema do nada e das condutas de má-fé. Em seguida, considera a ação humana como efetivação da liberdade, enfatizando o âmbito da escolha. Por fim, discute em que medida a ambiguidade humana, fundada na liberdade, reclama uma moral e, ao mesmo tempo, produz embaraços para a efetivação desta mesma moral em sua dimensão prescritiva. / [fr] Ce travail se propose à réfléchir sur la question morale dans L Être et le néant, en proposant d abord l analyse des hypothèses théoriques qui pourront permettre une morale existentialiste. Pour cela, on s occupe en particulier du thème de l ambiguïté humaine, traitée par Sartre dans l analyse du problème du néant et des conduits de mauvaise foi. Après, on considère l action humaine comme l efficacité de la liberté, mettant l accent sur les possibilités de choix. Enfin, on discute la mesure dans laquelle l ambiguïté humaine, fondée sur la liberté, demande une morale et en même temps produit un embarras pour sa réalisation dans une dimension prescriptive.

[pt] A tese A reinvenção do real na obra de Augusto Abelaira tem como objetivo localizar o escritor Augusto Abelaira no panorama da literatura portuguesa do século XX, interrogando a premissa de que o autor é herdeiro do neo-realismo português. A tese busca aprofundar esta questão a partir de análise da fortuna crítica sobre a obra do autor e da leitura dos romances Bolor (1968) e Nem só mas também (2004, póstumo), assim como do volume de contos Quatro paredes nuas (1972). Tomando a heterogeneidade do neo-realismo português (PITA, António Pedro, 2002) como pressuposto, a tese parte de uma particular aproximação do escritor com o movimento para analisar a influência do existencialismo e do nouveau roman em sua obra. A questão central a que se procura responder com este trabalho é de que modo Augusto Abelaira representa, problematiza e recria a categoria do real no panorama da literatura do século XX. / [en] The present thesis The reinvention of the real in Augusto Abelaira’s work aims at situating the writer Augusto Abelaira in the panorama of the Portuguese Literature of the 20th Century, starting from the assumption that the author is one of the heirs of the Portuguese neo-realism. The thesis deepens this question from the analysis of the critical fortune about the author’s works, as well as from the reading of the novels Bolor (1968) and Nem só mas também, (2004, posthumous), as well as the book of short stories Quatro paredes nuas (1972). Taking the heterogeneity of the Portuguese neo-realism (PITA, António Pedro, 2002) as a premise, the thesis starts from a particular proximity of the writer with the movement to analyze the influence of the existentialism and the nouveau roman in his works. The central question of this study is how Augusto Abelaira represents, problematizes and recreates the category of real in the panorama of the 20th Century Literature.
