[pt] Esta pesquisa teve como objetivo principal investigar a inserção dos padrastos no contexto familiar recomposto. Buscou-se analisar o lugar ocupado por estes e identificar as dificuldades enfrentadas para sua inclusão na dinâmica familiar. Na bibliografia pesquisada, a maior parte dos autores destaca as especificidades do recasamento e as dificuldades a serem enfrentadas pelo casal a partir do novo enlace conjugal, diante da complexidade da rede de relacionamentos familiares. Além disso, nos autores pesquisados foram evidenciadas duas formas antagônicas de funcionamento das famílias recompostas, que foram usadas como referência para a discussão dos dados da pesquisa qualitativa: a integração e a substituição. Na pesquisa de campo, foram realizadas entrevistas individuais semidirigidas com sete padrastos, residentes no Estado do Rio de Janeiro, na faixa etária de 29 a 60 anos, com tempo de convívio com seus enteados entre cinco e onze anos. Da análise qualitativa dos dados, verificou-se que, ou os padrastos podem atuar de forma a substituir o pai biológico, rivalizando com este; ou, de forma oposta, agir como figuras adicionais no contexto familiar, auxiliando pais e mães na tarefa de educar as crianças/adolescentes, sem maiores confrontos com a figura paterna. Constatou-se que os padrastos, apesar das singularidades de cada uma de suas famílias, enfrentam alguns impasses e dificuldades semelhantes. Desta forma, entende-se que cabe ao padrasto criar um espaço singular de atuação, evitando entrar em choque com as tarefas e funções dos demais membros da família. Espera-se que se estabeleça um espaço parental diverso, a fim de possibilitar o exercício de uma experiência pluriparental. / [en] This research aimed to investigate the stepfathers in the context of blended families, specifically, the position occupied and the difficulties faced by them in the family dynamics were analyzed. According to the literature, most authors highlights on the specifics of remarriage and the difficulties encountered by the couples from the new marriage bond, given the complex network of family relations. Furthermore, two antagonistic forms of function in the blended families were found: the integration and the substitution, which were both used as reference for data analysis in the qualitative research. Semi-structured individual interviews were conducted with seven stepfathers in the field research. According to the participants report, it was noted that or the stepfathers can act to replace the function of the biological father, rivaling them, or, in opposite way, they could act as an additional figures within the family, helping parents in the task of educating children/adolescents without major confrontations with the father. Despite the uniqueness of each family, it was found that stepfathers confront similar impasses and difficulties. In conclusion, it seems that the stepfathers to create singular space of action, avoiding conflict regarding the task and functions with others family members. It is hoped to establish them in a diverse parental space, where they could exercise a pluriparental experience.

[pt] Este estudo teve como objetivo buscar, em alguns textos de Freud, a visão do autor a respeito da figura paterna e de sua relevância para a subjetivação do sujeito. São enfatizados os desenvolvimentos teóricos sobre a formulação e a importância do complexo de Édipo, tanto o masculino como o feminino, para a formação do superego, bem como a importância do narcisismo para a construção do eu e para o processo de identificação. São enfocadas, ainda, as mudanças ocorridas no ambiente social, desde a época de Freud aos dias atuais, que propiciaram questões acerca da família, com alterações na relação homem/mulher e na função de cada gênero, provocando o declínio da figura paterna devido às novas configurações familiares. Além disso, são apresentadas as novas abordagens sobre paternidade, função paterna e lugar do pai no contexto das múltiplas configurações familiares contemporâneas. / [en] This study aimed at searching in some of Freud s writings the author s view of the paternal figure and its relevance to the individual s subjectivity. We emphasize the theoretical developments regarding the formulation and the importance of the Oedipus complex - both male and female - to the formation of the superego, as well as the importance or narcissism in the I construction and in the identification process. We also highlight the changes occurred in social environment, from Freudian to present time, which had raised questions about the family, with changes in the relationship between men and women, and in the functions of each gender, causing the decline of paternal figure in new family configurations. In addition, we present new approaches on paternity, paternal function and father s place in the context of multiple family configurations in contemporaneity.
