The main goal of this work is the application of system thinking in computer networks design and use of the systems thinking as a unique way of thinking and the presentation of the big potential which the systems thinking has in complex problem solving. Advanced network technologies are also described with their benefits for any organization. This thesis brings a whole new sight at the computer networks as a complex system and describes procedure of making a computer project in detail which can be used as a general reference model in the field of computer technologies. Solution include strong accent on how the basic knowledge of computer networking is important for information manager profession.

This thesis covers detailed analysis of bond pricing function. It focuses on connections between mathematical definitions and financial practice and it points out advantages and drawbacks of currently used function. Well known properties of this function are extended to negative internal rate of return values. This topic is further discussed with internal rate of return polynomial equations solving. Taylor series approximation is also shown regarding duration and convexity of bonds.

This thesis deals with Business Intelligence and its testing. It seeks to highlight the differences from the classical software testing and finally design a methodology for BI solutions testing that could be used in practice on real projects of BI companies. The aim of thesis is to design a methodology for BI solutions testing based on theoretical knowledge of Business Intelligence and software testing with an emphasis on the specific BI characteristics and requirements and also in accordance with Clever Decision's requirements and test it in practice on a real project in this company. The paper is written up on the basis of studying literature in the field of Business Intelligence and software testing from Czech and foreign sources as well as on the recommendations and experience of Clever Decision's employees. It is one of the few if not the first sources dealing with methodology for BI solutions testing in the Czech language. This work could also serve as a basis for more comprehensive methodologies of BI solutions testing. The thesis can be divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part tries to explain the purpose of Business Intelligence use in enterprises. It elucidates particular components of the BI solution, then the actual software testing, various types of tests, with emphasis on the differences and specificities of Business Intelligence. The theoretical part is followed by designed methodology for BI solutions using a generic model for the BI/DW solution testing. The practical part's highlight is the description of real BI project testing in Clever Decision according to the designed methodology.

This diploma thesis deals with a comparison of available "as a service" solutions for enterprise asset records for small and medium businesses in the Czech market. The aim is to find solutions that would best suit the needs of companies to acquire a new system as a service module such as elimination of large initial investment into selected solution and extensive funding for its maintenance. The thesis introduces concepts such as ERP ASP, SaaS, Cloud computing, SLA and their characteristics in the theoretical part of the thesis, which is in the first two chapters. The practical part -- third and fourth chapter -- deals with the practical analysis of current business process property records, finding the gaps and the call for essential criteria for the selection of a new solution. It also search for available solutions in the Czech Republic and analyzes their characteristics at the base of pre-selected criteria and peer comparison. The fifth and last chapter deals with the calculation and evaluation of the suitability and subsequent recommendations for the selection of a particular solution. The thesis draws data from publicly available information provided by suppliers of "as a service" modules solutions for enterprise asset records management.

The global economic and financial crisis resulted in worldwide rising government debt levels, especially from 2008 to 2011. This thesis focuses on the sovereign debt crisis in the European Union and illustrates its member countries' debt levels in the period from 2001 to 2011. Two main indicators are considered: accumulated sovereign debt and its share in GDP. The following part outlines main measures taken in order to decrease general debt level in the European Union. Furthermore a selection of various presented proposals is introduced. The last part of the thesis speculatively evaluates all of these instruments and indicates possible imperfections.

This work deals with the data migration during the process of mergers and acquisitions. The first, theoretical part, defines the general terms concerning mergers and acquisitions, further mentions motives that may lead to it, and the basic stages of the implementation process of mergers and acquisitions. This section also presents brief information on selected methodologies of project management, of which principles are used in the next part, dealing with data migration projects. The aim of this work is to develop a methodology for project management of data migration in mergers and acquisitions process, which may serve as a guide for merging companies and data migration teams. In the methodology there are specified activities and defined procedures to be followed in the various stages of the project life cycle. To each activity the way and necessary prerequisites for carrying out are specified. The methodology also describes common problems with which the data migration project in carrying out the action may be faced and which could threaten the success of the project or its part. For each potential problem a possible way to eliminate it is added, or solutions.

The thesis is aimed at estimate of calculation of tax evasions at value-added tax (VAT) in the Czech Republic between 2005 and 2011. The estimates are executed on the basis of the concept of tax gap. Tax gap compares theoretically calculated tax amount with the real tax amount. Results of the calculations are compared to the results of calculations of cumulative studies of tax gap executed in the countries of European Union. The issue of grey economy is also topic of the thesis and different approaches to calculations of grey economy are mentioned. Topics like tax-evasions causes, tax-evasions types and ways of its solving follow. Conclusion of the thesis includes questionnaire survey among payers of VAT. Survey is especially aimed at tax evasions and possible solutions to them.

This thesis deals with co-operative teaching and the development of social, personnel and problem-solving competence at the first stage of primary school. The aim of this thesis is to find out how does the co-operative teaching contribute, as an organisational form, to the development of these key competences. The thesis is divided in theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part is based on a set of literature, which is presented at the end of the thesis. This part introduces competentional model according to RVP. It closer defines specific competences and deals with organisational forms of teaching. It describes the role of co- operative teaching in the development of key competencies, social, personnel and problem- solving competencies. In the practical part there is a qualitative-quantitative research implemented, which is divided into three parts. The first part is devoted to a qualitative survey, participatory observation of pupils in the 2nd year of elementary school. It is focused on planning, realisation, description and summarisation of series of co-operative teaching lessons, which evolve social and personal competences as well as competences to solve problems. Problems of mental health care in the Czech republic have been defined in the early nineties. Yet after nineteen years of progress in this area, these problems are still major topics in mental health care policy documents. Main purpose of diploma paper is therefore to analyse mental health care problems and at the same time also might-be solutions. Mental health care problems definitions as conceptualized in mental helth care policy documents are found to be plausible. Though the amount of supportive data is sufficent, there are differences in decisiveness of some arguments. Available solutions are brought up and described in various manners in order to show their own logic, rules and after all their usability. Final conclusions consider the roles and responsiblities of various policy actors.

This thesis deals with the issue of attendance recording. The aim of the thesis was to design a solution and then create a hardware terminal for the electronic attendance system. The whole system is based on the latest web technologies using the Raspberry Pi hardware, for the client terminal. Future use of the device is possible for both home and commercial use. The whole system was distributed globaly as Open Source project. The result of thesis is a physical prototype of a client terminal, based on the Raspberry Pi platform, Electron based application for terminal and a web application communicating with the server solution.
