Začleňování žen do tělovýchovné jednoty Sokol / Women's Integration into the Physical Education Organization Sokol

Javůrková, Magdaléna January 2017 (has links)
This thesis Women's Integration into the Physical Education Organization Sokol discusses the integration of women into organization Sokol, which was in the Czech lands first organization in which there was regular exercise. The aim is to give a clear historical perspective on the integration of women into Sokol. The thesis builds on the symbolic interpretation of the role of men and women based on the book by Pierre Bourdieu Domination of men in which Bourdieu argues that the inclusion of women in society is the result of a symbolic perception of the whole reality in which women have lower status than men. Further disclosed herein is the development of physical activities, games and ritualistic ceremonies. The development of the physical activity is related to the overall perception of physicality and culture itself, through which people became more interested in their body. The development of the physical education and formation Sokol had a great influence on the formation of the first women's gymnastic club of ladies and girls of Prague, which allowed women to enter the Sokol a chance to do the same physical activities as men. The illustration of subsequent history of Sokol is described on the example of the development in the locality Vinoř, based on interviews with one eyewitness once in a...

Křížková, Ivana January 2017 (has links)
My thesis is concerned with the analysis of philosopher Marie Štechová. Based to the previous thesis (defended in 2015 at the University of Ostrava, lead by Prof. Zdeňka Kalnická), which summarizes the published works and manuscripts by Štechová, I can spread the previous research and so in this I can concentrate on the inclusion of the thinker into the context and especially the exploration of the specific gender aspects of her philosophy. These will then be compared with the views of other thinkers and thinkers of the period. The main aim of this diploma thesis is to extend not only the philosophical but also the literary canon about female thinkers, and also to bring closer the idea of the femininity of thinkers and thinkers at the end of the 19th century on the Czech territory.

Transformace konfliktu na lokální úrovni: Ženy mediátorky v Burundi / Transforming conflict at the local level: Women peace mediators in Burundi

Vodičková, Anna January 2018 (has links)
Armed conflict affects men and women differently due to their previous roles in the society. For instance, it often crucially changes the status of women and enhances their emancipation. Therefore, women should be included in conflict resolution as well as in peace negotiations and post-conflict reconstruction, to ensure sustainable peace. Examples from many African countries driven by conflict denote that women are not automatically included in these processes. This single intrinsic case study documents the work of women peace mediators in Burundi. At the theoretical level, the study argues for an elicitive endogenous approach to peacebuilding, embedded in the conflict transformation theory by John Paul Lederach. Nevertheless, theoretical concepts are not emphasized because they tend to limit the mediators' agenda which actually involves a wide range of conflict handling mechanisms. The main part of the study is based on semi-formal questionnaires filled out by women peace mediators in Bujumbura. The goal of the research is twofold: First, it is aimed to introduce the mediators and to understand their motivations to mediate. Second, it documents their everyday work by analysing official reports. The findings show that an "average" mediator is a married woman, with children, with at least secondary...

Povinná účast žen v orgánech obchodních korporací / Obligatory representation of women on corporate boards

Martiňáková, Lucie January 2020 (has links)
77 Abstract Obligatory representation of women on corporate boards The main topic of this master thesis deals with obligatory women representation on boards of stock listed companies from the theoretical point of view with focus on European and Czech legislation. Women are under-represented in this area for a long time, which not only violates the basic human rights principle regarding gender equality, but also does not use the available human resources and thus wastes talent. The second chapter first describes the development of EU law in relation to positive measures that can justify a higher participation of women in the bodies of business corporations in relation to the principle of non-discrimination, mentioning the most important case law of the ECJ. Than is also mentioned the possibility of positive measures in Czech legislation. The second chapter also mentions the economic aspects of women's representation on boards in the sense that the presence of women can influence the body and thus the whole corporation. The third chapter describes the means by which women's participation in corporate bodies can be increased, what goals can be achieved and what sanctions can be imposed in case of non-compliance with the set goals. The arguments for and against the introduction of legal quotas are also...

Obraz ženy ve Starém a Novém zákoně / The Image of Woman in the Old and New Testaments

Vlnas, Jan January 2011 (has links)
he diploma thesis called "P r e s e n t a t i o n o f F e m a l e C h a r a c t e r s i n t he O l d a n d N e w T e s t a m e n t s " endeavours to examine the depiction of female characters in the texts of the Old and New Testaments. The deuterocanonical books and addictions to Esther and Daniel are taken into account too. A list of the female characters and the interpretation of their names proves not only that there are many of them but also their importance. The classification suggested by this thesis is based on women's role in the story of our salvation and representative examples of these characters show their typical features as well as the personal ones. The characters are further described by means of the theological and historical context. Conclusions of these analyses are confronted with the commonly shared views and stereotypes in particular because of their claim that the Bible strongly promotes the patriarchal life concept. The author has concluded that the female characters in the Bible are much more important than people commonly think. Biblical authors naturally shared the patriarchal view of the world, in spite of it we can assume that they didn't belittle the importance of women. T
