獨立評論是抗戰前五年間，華北地區一個很重要的政論週刊，由平津一帶一群憂時 憂國之著名教授－－胡適、傅斯年、蔣廷黻、丁文江……等人，在「九一八事變」 後，為了用筆墨救國而創辦於北平的。迄於「七七事變」之後不久，歷時五年餘。 它是國難期間最能表達民族心聲的一種刑物，更代表了抗戰前五年間政治思想的主 要趨勢。 本論文即在探討當時北方學人於獨立評論上所討論的重要問題；舉如統一、政治制 度、政治改造、經濟建設、鄉村建設、對日本態度，以及教育改革等諸問題。並由 此進一步瞭解當時輿論界的言論趨勢。
